I realise CyberAkuma did a thread concerning what people should be doing on TF2, but I would just like to ask you, the people, what you think.
I got off of Team Fortress 2 an hour or so ago after a payload game, and while I enjoyed myself, I was slightly irritated. Why? Because as far as I could tell, no one was doing their job, which is ultimately achieving the objective.
Now on payload maps, I am always a Demoman, and to me, the smartest thing to do would be to litter the payload site with sticky bombs, and defend oncoming attackers with the standard grenade launcher. It works, but then when I am killed, the damned payload gets moved up by about five people.
I check to see where the hell everyone is, only to find that they are all sporadically moving about the map, not caring about the fact that the payload is nearing checkpoints. This doesn't happen with every game, but when it does happen within a game, it's frequent.
Now I realise some people may say 'well as long as they are having fun', but the fun is usually garnered through winning, which was why the game was designed as such.
Am I the only person who feels like he is the only person at times who is doing what he is meant to be doing to achieve the objective in TF2, or do other people feel the same?
