If you asked me, Heavy is the simplest and most fun class to go as. "Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe, maybe. I have yet to meet one who can outsmart bullet." Though to be honest, I love all the classes except the scout. I'm terrible as a scout.

Just swap around between classes until you find one you find fun, or that suits you (i personally tend to swap between spy scout medic, but also play soldier engineer and demoman when the mood takes me)

I recommend trying everything.. really like spy, landing a perfect backstab is so rewarding. But on the otherhand i die a lot.

It's best to start with a class that roams all across the maps so that you pick up the big picture. So out of the three, go with Scout.

To play a good Spy, you have to understand the other classes so you can a) kill them, b) pretend to be them.

The sniper is probably the easiest - but I prefer the scout. It's a nice feeling spinning around a heavy with the scatter gun while his gun can't rotate fast enough to shoot you.

out of the three, go with scout. Snipers a close second and spy takes some time.
Overall, I'd say pyro.

Since everyone seems to be a scout right now I would suggest not to go scout.
Scout rushes are common now cause of the Scout's upgrades. This can only be balanced by releasing upgrades for everyone else.
Lol wut?

This can also by balanced by not sucking at the game. No offense but it's not hard to take out a few scouts. If the other team over uses scouts just switch to heavy for a few lives and mow the little fuckers down. That'll soon put them off scouts.

My best advice is to just keep switching up your characters to counter the othe team. Obviously there's no guarenteed advantage but some classes can fare better against some than others or are just a particularly good deterrent.

I.e. Get some pyro if you keep getting backstabbed.

I actually started out with Scout and I still love it more than any other class. It's so much fun to run that fast and blast people away with my FaN.
