Hmmm...
Some more offensive options would be nice.
I know that the engineer is primarily a defense/support class, but I think he should have some more weapons so that when someone's coming at him, he has more options than, say "run away". Then again, I don't really play the engineer that much... or at all... so what do I know...

An ammo gun, something you can walk up to your teammates with and give them ammo. Sort of like a Medigun, but with ammo. And it would take metal away from the Engie.

Claymores (or something like it). Then not only demos can lay traps.

Also, a wrench that deals extra damage when he's near his turrets.

I think upgrading the turrets would be very difficult to implement because he has a single item to build all of them. Maybe if you could swap the building item thingeh for another one which builds little robots that can be used to help in an attack, rather than just defending. This might not be possible though, since the Engineer is listed as a defensive class.

instead of a wrench id say a hammer, does more damage, but is slower to hit.

portable dispenser sounds like a good idea.

ceiling turret? maybe, id like a mobile turret, that goes along a set path , but its more fragile ^_^

and instead of the teleporter id say something like a portable shield (sort of like in halo 3)but can be blown up after a few hits ^_^

and a wrench that gives the Engy ammo on crits
Pretty much every hit then?

OT: I think maybe a spy spotter sentry or something, it could have a laser that tracks disguised spies and if the Engy has a normal sentry it will be able to target it.

But that's just cos I get irritated when all my buildings get destroyed in an instant by one spy.

I remember the fake site a while ago that had a mobile, if more fragile, Dispenser. Joke or not, that's a good idea.

A flame/welding torch instead of a wrench:
It uses metal to fire, and rather then upgrading/repairing in hits, it does so continueously (but at a slower rate than the normal wrench). It would also have the amazing ability to ignite spies with fairly lethal force(to balance against the slower repair rate)

Lazer pointer: Replaces pistol , but allows you to aim your sentry (out of range is now accessable then, and spy checking with it) BIG down side is that you must switch to your wrench to repair and such

An electro-magnetic shield for your buildings that adds protection against rockets/bombs but makes it more vulnerable to sappers. Will make engineering more fun because you be doing more spy-watching and less whacking your sentry over and over. And it will encourage spies to actually help the team more instead of just sneaking around and backstabbing snipers and stragglers.

god im typing alot today

OT less things to kill spies plz dont focus on single classes and think about this the sentries basically two heavies with a soldier do you really want a good aiming player to use that?
