bronies?! god have mercy on our souls...
It's NOT us.
You're not the spokesman for the entire fandom, dude. All a Brony is is someone who likes the show. Maybe these guys did, maybe they didn't. All I know is that you don't know the answer either, and you're making it sound like being a fan of a show is a lifestyle or some shit. I like Spongebob, I'm not claiming that this changes me as a person in any way. There isn't any defining characteristic of a Brony apart from liking the show. Get over it.

Furry pornography.

Childhood defiling furry pornography.
Eh, that's not that bad. I would stop caring after a few minutes.

Eh, TF2wiki.net was already falling apart, seriously the pages were clumsily edited or something and a lot of their charts were just masses of code. Plus the ads were annoying, I go to the official one now.

So, what? I'm supposed to sit back and let us get ridiculed? What if you were in my shoes, watching your favourite fandom get caught unfairly and everyone making the assumption that your fanbase caused it? Would you sit back and do nothing?

I'm just making sure the true story is made, rather than watch the chaos. You think I'm doing this because I think bronies are special? Maybe, but I'm doing this so that we get a clear picture as well.

I'll let Twilight Sparkle answer this...

If you truly want some answers, then you need a professional:

I don't think you can say it wasn't "you". You can't generalise such a huge community; every community has their extremists and their fools.
I'm not saying it WAS a brony, because there's no real way of knowing, however, you can't just say it wasn't. You can say it wasn't you, but that's about it.

Well anyone who assumes it was the entire fandom doing it is an idiot. But that didn't look like what you were arguing. What you seemed to be arguing was that no one in the fandom could have possibly done it, because that's not what you do.

True, but it would be unlikely to be any brony in any case would go to THIS extreme. I mean, we've been known to be over-zealous at times, but this? Nah, this has to be trolls. If a brony was this stupid to try this, they're either not really a fan or not aware of their own consequences.

Although, given the fact their Steam name was............well........"N****rpolice" I HIGHLY doubt that it was a brony.

True, after thought, there are times that we have been over the top, but the evidence I've seen and heard stems towards this person either not connected at all or REALLY unaware of what they did.

But, like I said, their Steam name was "N****rpolice", so the chances of connection are slim.
Oh so slim!

The official wiki, http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Main_Page , still works just fine.
The unofficial one has been "attacked" several times.

I agree. Also from what I heard was it all differend kind of stuff, not just ponies. Actually there is hardly a reason why that guy should be a fan.

People, please. Contain your drama. This is the work of a troll. Not a real person. Shut up about it and carry on.

I have to agree. This site is my main TF2 repository, I am not a fan of the "hacked" one.

OT: I am against vandalism in all it's many forms but this is still hilarious!

Consider the origin of the popularity of the MLP:FIM. It came from /co/ iirc, but it gained it's popularity on /b/, where the N word is so commonplace, you'd forget it's not "fuck".
my point is, it could very well be a brony from /b/.

Nahhhh, it may be from /b/, but they all act the same. That is, not willing to ruin an entire wiki just to post some ponies and......other items. If they were a brony (Which I doubt to a high degree), they REALLY need to remember what we do.

Love and Tolerance, and all that jazz that I don't follow.

In any case, what they did only got highlighted by the fact there was a pony in there.

More likely an anti-brony from /b/, though -- you know, the ones who post shock images in pony threads to try to get the bronies to stop? I missed the vandalism, but the description definitely fits the profile.

Honestly, I thought the community had pretty much abandoned it and it was several updates out of date. My first thought when I found out it was the community wiki, and not the official one was "people still use that after all the attacks, especially the malware ones?"

Hmmm, an interesting philosophical question is presented, can one hack a wiki? The purpose of a wiki is to be changed by anyone, defying the action of 'hacking' due to the forceful and 'unauthorized' action of it.

An intriguing conundrum.

Let us take a moment to ponder about this strange occurrence.
