...when you want to play a game that no-one's made.

I watched Jurassic park for the first time in ages. Now I want a Jurassic park style action/horror game. The closest I can come to that would be telltale games' episodic games. Which I don't think are out yet, and even when it does come out, will bs on pcs then released on consoles "later", and even. When it does come out, looks to be a series of QTEs. Dammit.

Anyone else ever had this? Wanted a zombie game set in a free roaming GTA size city? Or an alien invasion game where you aren't a super soldier?

I want a Pirate Bioware RPG, not specified to pirates, you start off as a character and the paths you choose can lead you to piracy, the royal navy or the Spanish navy, or something like that.

Ah, yes. The worst part is when that game exists, but it was canceled. In this case, Hie$t. I wanted a free roaming game about bank robbery set in the 70s for too long. Oh well...
Also! Free roaming game about zombies? Dead island. Heck yes.

Dino Crises is what ye be needin, matey.

OT: I want to play a Crows Zero game with the fighting engine of The Warriors game.

I wanna build a character from the ground up and fight my way through Suzuran to take the top. Then, I want to start over with a new character and fight against my old character. I want it to have great fighting, great diplomacy, and some fun mini games. And tons and tons of customization.

Ah. A man can dream.
(If you haven't seen Crows Zero 1 and 2, do yourself a huge favor and go watch them. Now.)

I've always wondered what A Bioware game where you don't have to assemble a team/squad would be like. Of course I've only played ME/ME2 and DA/DA2, but perhaps their next franchise should lean away from assembling a group of dudes and taking them on a suicide mission.

Always wanted to play a "Fear and Loathing" RPG; it could utilize the best of the slowly slipping into complete stark raving madness that Arkham Asylum featured so beautifully, and would be entertaining as all get-out...I'm just not sure what the actual story would be.

They made a game for the Dreamcast called Skies of Arcadia, it may not be BioWare, but it is an amazing RPG

Oh god, I had wanted a decent pirate game for ages when they cancelled armada of the damned. Funnily enough though, such a game had been in under my nose the whole time on xbox live games on demand under the guise of Sid meiers pirates.

Still, not quite the same. :(

Give Jade Empire a try. You do get followers, but they aren't part of a team like the other games. Its pretty much all about you, they just tag along for the ride, and you can even play combat by yourself with them simply supporting from the sidelines.

- A surival horror game set deep underwater. The protagonist is in a scuba suit.

- A game were you get to play as a guerrilla fighter. Y'know, a proper one.

- A game set during a war where the player is not a soldier or combatant of any kind.

- A non-combat survival game, scrounging for supplies and so on.

...

I could do this all day.

@jurassic park game: I remember they had a jurrassic park rail shooter that was actually quite good at the arcades.

zombie game in free roaming GTA city? Like Dead Rising 2? Or kinda like the upcoming Dead Island?

alien invasion but not playing as a super soldier? Duke Nukem Forever. You're not a supersoldier, you're just a badass.

Most every game I want exists in some form or another.

Lost In Blue. It's a series for the DS wherein your character is somehow marooned on an uninhabited island. You should check them out.

Ton of games I want to play that haven't been made, unfortunately.

I would love an RPG set in Hogwarts, Middle Earth, or wherever, that, rather than focusing entirely open the plot, was an open sandbox that instead focused on the incredible worlds drawn up by these authors.

Honestly, I don't give a shit what Harry Potter does, but I adore the idea of Hogwarts, which, in my mind, EA has never been able to recreate well.

Of the "in Las Vegas" variety? Cos that would be a fun game.

I personally want to see a Deadlands: Hell on Earth RPG. Would be sweet. A marvel game where the main character is Doctor Strange would be cool too.

I guess, but for that sort of thing, I'd want it FAR more open world than the current gen of bioware RPGs like Mass Effect. Have it a standalone game with no sequels (if they make a sequel, have it same universe, different story) so as to allow a wider plethora of choices. Somewhat like Oblivion, or the first Fable, perhaps.

I agree. Design your own student, go through seven years at Hogwarts doing all the awesome stuff, with melodramas happening between all the students. If they wanted to take it further, you could graduate to being an Aura, or some other profession and live that out. Might be difficult to make, though.

Personally, I want an open-world (like GTA, or Red Dead, but maybe with some random map generator element in parts of it.) game set in the universe of Supernatural. You play as your own customizable hunter and go around hunting all this stuff, and you have to buy newspapers and spot the strange stuff, from randomized "jobs". You also could get phone calls from Bobby. Depending on what you hunt, you take certain equipment from your arsenal. Eventually, it goes into the apocalypse season 4-5, the story unfolds further, and cases you get from the strange news reports go into overdrive, with even more creatures, and higher difficulty. DLC could be more non-random areas on the map as well as new creatures to fight, with new weapons, rituals etc.

I wanna play a game with Champions Online character creation, inFamous freedom and climbing and X-men writing. Why the hell isn't it here yet?

I thought Freedom Force 2 had pretty good character creation, actually- shame you were stuck with unalterable character models, having to either make, change or otherwise acquire more models for variety.

Oh, and we're getting a free-roam zombie survival game- Look up Project Zomboid. Not 3D or anything- we're talking the indiest of the indie devs, here- but it is already pretty cool.

Look up Sid Meier's Pirates, for the last gen of consoles. Admittedly, it's somewhat outdated, but it's still freakin' awesome.
