Also, here's the picture, though as you can see, I've heavily edited it. It had falling snow and a winter-themed background before, and a snowball flying into the raccoon's face, done by our ex-resident crazy-wickedly-skilled virtuoso Photoshop God, Fanboy. But since he's retired from that, I modified it, used some of my own Photoshop skills to change the colors, and decided to show that my raccoon is, indeed, able to harm a fly.

I just searched optical illusions, because I wanted a video avatar but have no idea how to make one, and decided that optical illusions were the next best thing. Granted this one isn't really an optical illusion, but I thought it was iconic and looked awesome.

I just had to chime in and say that your avatar is made by Alex Grey [http://www.alexgrey.com/] for the Tool album 10.000 Days. I'm a major Tool fan, and Alex Grey has done a lot of work for them. Most of them are crazy like that one.

My avatar is a picture of me manipulated into making me look kinda like The Sandman. It was animated by thenumberthirteen. I love it, and it is unique since it is of me. Mine is a stylized logo for the 3DFX graphics card company, rendered by Parkoz Hardware.

I like 3DFX in particular because they had the greatest cards on the market when they were still around.

They were undone by debt. Their final card was so rediculous that it had 4 seperate cores and required an external power supply, and it sold too little to keep them afloat.

Nvidia bought out the company. That is where SLI technology came from.

There's actually a story behind mine.
It is a picture of a not one week old calf. You see, in the summer I often work at a "seter" (mountain dairy) where I look after some cows. In the herd that year we had an heifer who was going to have her first calf. One night, at approximately 4 a.m. while my mother was looking after it, it became apparent that it was about to give birth. My mother thought it shouldn't have to give birth in the cowshed, so she let it out on the grazing fields. The heifer promptly jumped over the fence and went out in the forest to give birth. Now, this was a pregnant heifer after all, so following it was no problem; my mother even acted as a midwife for a bit. After the birth she went and fetched the rest of us who worked there, and we carried the calf back to the mountain dairy, using some old bedsheets I think.
On the picture in question the calf is lying in front of the wall of the mountain dairy, next to a bike which, as I recall, it had a tendency to chew on.
