OT: Cell by Stephen King. Would be an AWESOME survival horror game.

Mark Robson's Darkweaver Legacy. Awesome books and would make a nice action RPG. Doesn't offer much choice though so perhaps a hack and slash would be best. Either way, Calvyn's village is burnt down and everyone is slaughtered after he comes back from fishing when we don't even know what his parents were like. All we know is that he wanted to exaggerate the fish that got away.

Then along comes magic, the forbidden arts. Then it just gets better.

Calumon: Flanimals! I wanna look after one. :3

The only ones I ever really seem to have this with are Michael Crichton books (I probably misspelled his name), particularly Prey. No relation to the game of the same name. I don't really like the way he writes, and it's not a great book, but the thing is that it reads almost exactly like a script, and hence is really easy to imagine as a game.

Who wouldn't want to play a game where you're getting attacked by swarms of evil nanomachines that eat you from the inside out? It sounds like it would work damn well as a Heavy Rain style game. It even has the 'normal life', pre-tragedy opening.

You are so right. I would love to play that game and It fits so well with combat sections, stealth sections and puzzles. I would totally buy that.

I'd also like to see the Darren Shan saga made into a survival horror game. The atmosphere in those books is incredible.

Bible! I would play it even if it would suck (99% that it would as all games related to real religions).

Socrates's Apology. Try to imagine the speech like you would with music simulators.

Fight Club. Played as a sandbox game, where you must recruit people to fight club, then there are levelling aspects, you can level your character so you fight better, become a better leader so can recruit more people etc., upgrade from fight club to project mayhem, and then carry out acts of terrorism on corporate art, and generally spread anarchy to the city! ^_^

The Hunger Games could make an interesting game. Not using the actual story from the book of course, but just the premise of The Games. It would make a fun Multiplayer game where each match could last for about an hour or so, you have to find ways to kill the other guys, have to survive obstacles and other things thrown at you, and just have to survive in general. It would be hard to implement but I think it could be a fun game.

Dragons Bane could be made into an amazing game although I think a new story based in the same world would work better than the original story line.

For me the mortal engines series would be an excellent book-to-game, but it would have to be seperate from the book story though it could have it occuring at the same time as the book's major events

Most of the books I read have so much depth, or have a concept that is mostly thought, and is hard to conceptualize, so turning it into a game format would be very difficult.

Hmm...

Re-make the LotR games as RPGs?
Wheel of Time could potentially be a good game (it has more than enough lore to draw off of), but the magic would be hard to nail.
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is a RPG.

Actually, I don't think a book would work that well as a game(I'm talikng about Journey To The West), but anything is possible, right?
Ever played Enslaved?
That's what I meant. In my eyes, Enslaved was sub-par, and it could've been better. THAT'S why It didn't work(book as a game).

An MMO based not upon a single book but the Discworld series.

Never having given many MMOs much of a chance though, I'm unsure how it would work out...I guess if you hung out in the twin cities Ahnk-Morpork quests would be given by C.M.O.T. Dibbler, Moist von Lipwig and, The Watch. The Mended Drum would be a PVP area. The Guild Halls would likely also be hubs for missions and whatnot. Other than that there would be other recognizable characters giving book-related quests. Maybe Mort needs help loading Binky with a large order of Curry. Maybe Granny Weatherwax needs X-amount of herb for something.

Short answer: Discworld MMO.

and before I forget: Unseen University. It's where I'd likely spend all of my time.

Star Wars: Death Troopers

Star Wars, zombies, and Chewbacca... What could possibly go wrong?

But for the sake of making an actual contribution... I'd say the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. It would be like Assassins Creed with more Blood, Sex, and Magik!
