So, has anyone else ever met someone famous that they'll literally always remember? What was it like if you have?

If not, who would you want to meet?

For me, last night, I met Josh Ritter after a concert. He was such a legend. Talked for a good 7 or 8 minutes.

I met and had a couple interesting conversations with Daniel Erikson. He was one of the writers of Dragon Age, and he's the lead writer of The Old Republic. Awesome guy. Also met some of the cast of Red vs Blue. Go PAX East :D

As for your more-famous-people, I've met none, but I'd love to meet Hugh Laurie, Nathan Fillion, Haley Williams, or Taylor Swift.

Last Summer I found myself queueing in Canadian immigration six or so places behind Rosamund Pike.
She was, however, not attired as above.

I've met Tony Robinson and Ian McKellen, didn't strike up a conversation with either because I'm way too nervous, but hey. I was pretty damned close to them.

Not sure if Tony Robinson is well known outside of America, but he presents an archeology show called Time Team over here, and is most well known for playing Baldrick in Blackadder.

I don't think anyone needs Ian McKellen explaining though.
He was shorter than I thought he would be.

Rob Zombie.

I'd met other musicians, but most of them just monotonously sign your stuff and move you along and some bands are even rude to their fans, but Rob Zombie actually chatted with me and let me come back when I realized I had forgotten to get a signature.

I met The Ramones when I was in college. The student government booked them to do a concert on campus, but the fascist administration vetoed the idea. The Ramones came and joined a protest. They were drunk and incoherent, god bless their rock'n'roll hearts.

I've met singer of a Finnish metal band called Mokoma(which is a fuckin' awesome band btw) after their acoustic gig at one record store. I chatted for a little and got his autograph. He seemed to be a really cool person.

David Crystal - maybe not that famous, but he is one of the greatest English linguists I'm aware of. (And I study linguistics, so I should be aware of them)

He signed my laptop.

Then he gave me an award for winning a debate.

It was a giant novelty pencil.

I'll cherish it forever.

I met Derek Accorah in the pub once, not exactly something to write home about but I used to watch Most Haunted and in my ignorance at the time I used to believe it too XD, so it was a big deal for me at the time.
