I met Kyle and Lee (of Tenacious D fame) after a Trainwreck concert. Lee was really nice, but Kage was really, REALLY baked. I asked him to sign my ticket, and he did a little doodle on it before remembering that it wasn't his, so I have a little smiley face with big ears doodled by Rage Kage himself.

Oh, and if anyone has seen the Tenacious D Masterworks vol. 2 concert, I've also met the guys who played The Antichrist and Charlie Chaplin. All really stand up, incredibly nice guys.

I used to race against Paul Di Resta, reigning DTM (German Touring car Masters) champion and current Force India F1 driver (qualified 8th for Chinese GP tomorrow) around the turn of the millenium (in go-kart racing). No, I don't think I ever did beat him :p
His cousin, triple Indycar champion Dario Franchitti, came to a national championship round once. Paul's kart broke down on the rolling lap (can't remember why) and they kept sending the rest of the field on more rolling laps until it was fixed.

According to my mum, when we went to Disney World we were just behind Bruce Willis and his family on the que for Rock 'n' Roller coaster in MGM studios. But then my stupid-ass cousin dropped her shoe and so we had to leave the line. I could have a fantastic line that I went on a rollercoaster with Bruce Willis if it weren't for my stupid fucking cousin. Though in fairness she was probably like 5 at the time.

Other than that... nobody very impressive. Well I've got some mates with famous dads but I don't think they'd want me talking about that on here.

William "The Refrigerator" Perry, 1985. I got his autograph at his house, on the back of a lyric sheet for "Super Bowl Shuffle". I still remember it to this day, and I was only 8 at the time.

Seen several "famous" individuals, but.. ya know. They are just people like us in the end.

I met Dave Gibbons (he drew Watchmen among other things). That was pretty cool. I also was at a table next to Rugby Star, and at the time the biggest sports personality outside football in the UK, at an Indian resteraunt. Didn't ask for an autograph because he was having dinner, and that's just not on.

Uhm...Steve Weinberg? Not sure if that counts, as he teaches at my university. Other than that, absolutely bloody nobody! 'course, if you stretch the definition of "met" to include people who were in the same room at the same time as me, the Mythbusters.

When I was in College like 7 years ago in the Toronto area (North York), I had a very surreal experience on the public transit when I saw Avril Lavigne.
Me and a couple people in my class asked her why she was taking a bus like a chump, and she said she got separated from her tour bus and got lost. Her music blows, but she was a nice enough person. Her entourage/bodyguard guy was a total dick though.

I've met Tony Robinson and Ian McKellen, didn't strike up a conversation with either because I'm way too nervous, but hey. I was pretty damned close to them.

Not sure if Tony Robinson is well known outside of America, but he presents an archeology show called Time Team over here, and is most well known for playing Baldrick in Blackadder.

I don't think anyone needs Ian McKellen explaining though.
He was shorter than I thought he would be.
American here- I'm jealous of you seeing Tony Robinson. *shakes fist*
