Hey there Escapist, you know how it feels when you've eaten way too much? Well my mom made a fantastic lunch but too much for the both of us as we expected both my dad and sister to show up. So we both ate more than usual. Ugggggh. I feel lethargic, a bit bloated and I certainly don't feel content. I find it hard to gauge when to stop eating or how 'full' I am and I never want to waste good food...

So, have you experienced this feeling recently? This is akin to how I felt after I ate the massive Thanksgiving dinner on the 9th.

Recently? Nah.

The worst though, was when I went to five guys and mistakenly ordered large fries. Now, large fries at McDonalds? Reasonable. At Five Guys, an order of Large Fries contains enough potatoes to put Ireland to shame. I don't know why I felt compelled to finish them, but between that and the gigantic burger, I believe I ruptured something important, and my blood type is now potato.

Never heard of Five Guys. But it doesn't look like anyone will be asking for you to donate blood anymore.
Unless they gave me a cookie, I wouldn't let them, anyway. Although it was so long ago there's a chance my blood type is now a potato based vodka of some sort. Which would make my blood alcohol count a horrifying 1, so that's unlikely.

Even a "regular" fries at Five Guys is a lot for one person, I usually only get fries if I'm doing splitsies. Shame though, because their fries are awesome.

When I eat way, way too much, I dry heave.

The best example of this I can think on is five gu-oh wait it seems I've been ninja'd. oh well that never has stopped me before.
But they litteraly line the bottom of your bag with fries so that the grease changes the color of the bag from brown to black....when you order a small.

I solve the over full feeling by drinking a soda, burping and reliving the pressure.

Just wanted to let you know I haven't laughed this hard in weeks. I'm crying manly tears of laughter here. Seriously. xD
Thanks for making my day.

OT: Happened to me today, actually. A friend of mine was going to come over for lunch, so I cooked up some really great thai fusion curry; however, she couldn't make it, and since I hadn't eaten in 24 hours I... overdid it a little. And by that I mean I ate it all. Delicious, yes, but even now my stomach is giving me the finger in its own way. -.-

I love to eat, so it does happens to me every now and then. Especially with a meal like a fried pork chop, fried rice and broccoli. God, I love it, but I usually regret it afterward. <:-/

After seeing that you posted the thread "Ask a voreaphile" some time back, your presence here in the thread "That feeling of being over-full" is a bit awkward, lol! ;-)

But yeah, I love Five Guys for that reason. You can make a meal just out of the fries alone!

I try to avoid over eating, as your body starts to waste loads more energy then needed on digesting the extra overloads of food, it just makes me too tired and makes me go to sleep early.

A medium pizza from Dominoes, then half of your girlfriends one. That does not do anything good for your belly. I just had that, and lets just say that there was about an hour break in between me finishing the pizza and writing this.

I never feel overfull...

I always hit a preset limit and I stop. I don't give a fuck if my plate isn't empty, I'm done when I'm done.

As some of you know Canadian Thanksgiving was just last Monday. My family has it on Sunday, and we went to my older brothers girlfriends house on Saturday to have dinner with their family.

Needless to say I felt very... lethargic as you said.

I usually can't eat enough in one meal to get like that. But holiday meals are the exception where I force myself to the state lol.

I just had that experience last night! Not with my roommates, though. Took a friend out to dinner, and we did not really go into a coma afterwards. But that stuff will seriously put you into a pillow-coveting state.

Ugh, got that right now.
Maybe finishing off dinner with a bounty, a chocolate mars bar and half a bag of maltesers wasn't a smart move.
I'm not in any state to be playing God Hand now but I reaaaaally want to.
