Beating Prince of Persia: Sands of Time finally after a month of playing it.
Seriously? I beat it in a day. Without looking up solutions.
Oh well, I get my ass handed to me by a lot of the puzzles in other games, though, so it balances out I suppose.

I think my epic moment of absolute glee was when I finally managed 100% completion in Donkey Kong Country 2 on the SNES. And beating K Rool that second time was a *****.

Collecting that last star that eluded me on Mario 64 was AMAZING. OHMAHGAWD YOSHI ON THE ROOF 100 LIVES WOO!

Other than that... generally coming around to games I never beat the first time through and wondering why I found it so difficult, then easily beating it in a day or two. 'Tis a glorious feeling =]

Taking out Ares at the very end of GoW 1. I really hated that tool and killing him was one of the most satisfying gaming moments ever.

Well, in my defense I was very new to gaming. So much so in fact that I consider PoP:SoT to be my first major game to bring me into gaming.

But rest assured, I refined my skills later on so that I could beat it in just under 6 hours.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time completely changed my life. The story is so GOOD, the gameplay is just challenging enough to not piss off previous generation gamers, and just easy enough to not make next-gen n00bs cry. It is... the best game I have ever played in my life.
I loved the first one, the story is one of, if not my favourite story in a game.

I still get it, last time I had it was probably playing Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, defeating the final boss - Took me two hours for one attempt.

So do I remember things like that? Yes, I still get them when I enjoy a game and become immersed enough.

FINALLY reaching the end credits in FF II (IV) after months, and months, and months, of playing it. First relatively large game I ever completed. To my 9-ish year old self, it was a massive accomplishment.

I don't think I've ever felt quite that good about finishing a game since, but occasionally it does feel good to put another notch on the belt. Other times, it's simple relief to be done, haha!

when I got the Vidmaster achievement on the last mission of Halo 3...oh my god it felt good. I had a bad team to do it with for weeks, then I got some new friends to play with, and we beat it in a day. so satisfying. oh, and winning a game in L4D2. I don't know why, but it is really satisfying for me to beat a Versus game.

When I finally beat I Wanna Be The Guy.

Nah, I'm lying. I never beat that one yet. Beating Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja was fun though. And DMC4 Bloody Palace. I should have more, but I guess I forgot.

Finally finishing the last tournament race in Burnout 2 and unlocking the last custom car.
Great feeling, also made better by the fact that I loved that game so much...
Takes me back.

I still remember when I finished Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis... ahhhh good times
If I remember correctly, that was a really difficult game - there were points when I was pretty certain I couldn't carry on.

Actually now I remember, alot of the Point and Click games gave you an awesome feeling when you finally worked them out. I was playing them quite a while after they had come out and most of my family had beaten them, but I never asked for any help. Simon the Sorcerer (1 and 2) Broken Sword (1 and 2 again) Monkey Island (plus the return to Monkey Island or whatever it was called), and I think I played one of the King's Quest... not sure what kinda game that was actually.
