Hello Escapist Ladies and Gentlemen

Everyone has played that game. A game that would be the best game ever (or at least playable) if they had added, remove or fixed one feature. Football Game 2000 would have been good if you could tackle or Generic Japanese RPG would be fun if there wasn't an angsty teenager with amnesia. Do you get it? I am not talking about removing glitches but you could say how fixing a broken feature would make a game that much better.

Here are some real life examples

Dragon age: Origins would have been perfect if we could have five party members instead of four.

Red Dead Redemption would've been better if the horse would automatically "drive" while you aimed your weapon.

I believe most games could be improved by using both the GeoMod and Euphoria engines.

Destructible terrain and physics driven animation, what's not to love?

Far Cry 2. If when you destroy a rebel vehicle checkpoint it stays god damn destroyed. Respawning checkpoints made that game almost unbearable, especially since every mission required you to drive halfway across the map.

Timesplitters 2: give us the ability to jump and I'd never put it down. Short of that, brilliant game.

Final Fantasy 12: I probably would have finished it if it wasn't for the damn buffing system. Let all buffs stay on for more than 45 seconds.

jesus the options..hmm,

MW2 MP would be so much better for me , if HC modes had an auto kick for excessive teamkilling.3 strikes and out for being a fag!

Batman AA: would have been much better with original spectacular set-peice BOSS encounters, as this was the only part of the game that was lacking.

Heavenly Sword would have been better without the needless motion control sections, you can't steer arrows irl, so why do i give a poo about doing it here?

Deus Ex invisible war ; would have been soooo much better if, wait, wait the list for this game is too long, lets just just go with , 'didn't exist'.

Mass Effect 2 would have been better with MOAR! SWEARING, Muddy Funsters!

on a side not there has only ever been ONE perfect game that has no place on a 'would have been better list' and thats 'QuackShot' on the MegaDrive. I dare you to disagree. :p

And maybe auto-run?

PoP: Sands of Time would have been so much better if there weren't those fucking sandbirdthings.
And Fallout 3 would be kinda cool if it was harder [A lot].

Oblivion would have been better if it had been tested before release.

Half Life 2 Episode 3 would have been better if it had been announced at E3.

I second this. I wasn't too fussed about the boss battles, even if they were somewhat lacking. An auto-run feature would have added to a sense of urgency in the game, keeping a more action-packed feel during some of the drier moments.

Alpha Protocol would have been awesome with a little more support for non-tank style gameplay. (And maybe a less generic overarching story, but that's two things and two things is cheating and my mommy taught me cheating is bad)

I think Oblivion and Fallout would have been so much better if another company handled the animations. Man one of these games with Kojima productions doing the animations, might just be the best game ever.

FFXIII would have been better if all the battles were real time. I didn't mind the linearity because linear games can be fun (MGS4) but having to go into a loaded battle zone every 30 seconds pissed me off. Thats why I finished FFXII and all the other FF games weren't completed fully (except FFX).

What buffing system? That game was flawless except for the characters *coughVaancough*
