Shadow of the Colossus might've been better if the sword actually guided you to the boss instead of giving you a general direction...

Persona 4 would've been perfect if they kept in a few key features from Persona 3, namely having a warp point instead of making you backtrack through the entire fucking dungeon.

I think Sonic 06 would have been a hell of a lot better if they fixed the camera thing

still I like it since it went back to the original formula of only 1 character at a time, or two (as in, Sonic and Tails), I really liked the concept of it but it wasnt properly executed

Fable 2 would have been better if it had a real boss fight, stronger enemies and more female looking females.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed if they removed that gorram star destroyer bit!!
Do you know the hidden mod for HL2?
Force Unleash would have been great if they had that as multiplayer (stormtrooper army [battlefront style] vs. Jedi Squad vs. Starkiller).

Picture the awesome...

Bioshock 2 would have been better if you weren't a big daddy. That away, it would make sense that you would take a lot of damage. If I was a cheater, I would add that if I wasn't expecting a huge plot twist, I would enjoy the story better. But I am not a cheater of my own game.

Eternal Darkness would have been better had there been a more diverse grouping of enemies. Especially since most of them were only trouble in fairly large groups.

Sonic 06 would've been better if it didn't FUCKING EXIST.

Bioshock 2 would've been better if the big sister was just a single boss enemy.

And Singularity: More boss fights, more variety in the puzzles, and more jumps back in time.

Assassin's Creed would have been great as a series if the endings didn't suck like the great void of space when you're airlock's been left open. No spoilers, but the final bosses got worse, and the final cutscenes got more far-fetched.

Metal Gear Solid 2 would have been better if Rose didn't call me on my codec, asking me to save and thus forcing those insipid conversations. though i know a single person who really enjoys listening to those conversations... creep.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite would have been better if i had friends to play it with. Seriously, i was able to Solo the game, but its so sad when you fail again and again, thinking "if there was another guy to shoot at it from far away, i'd have won :'("... though i guess theres a better feeling of self-achievement when you finally complete that quest. Though celebrating alone is also upsetting.

urrrm, i can't think of anymore serious ones... so
Alan Wake would have been better if my friend hadn't totally bummed that game making it feel all icky and disgusting when i was wanting to play it.

Heavy Rain would have been loads better if i was waving my arms around :p
(and if i hadn't been shouting at the beginning "YOUR SON IS NOT LISTENING TO YOU! FFFFFF... GET HIM UNDER CONTROL YOU IDIOT, HE'S GONNA GET HURT IF YOU LET HIM RUN AR.... oh, no... nope, too late."... and also if they made that scene look like the son should have been hurt a lot more than the father, rather than it looking like the father saved the Son

Might & Magic for the DS would have been great if it had full WFC support. So much room there for great multi-player action...ugh.

Oblivion/Fallout 3 would be great if the characters weren't stiffer than graham crackers and the leveling system wasn't an ass.

Any MGS game would be great if they replaced 90% of the bullshit with actual gameplay and had plots that made any kind of sense.

Minesweeper would be great if it had exploding chickens instead of mines.

Games would be better if...

Red Dead Redemption had better controls.
World of Warcraft had better player models.
Bioshock let you explore the city some more.

Sniper Elite would have been better if they did something besides the sniping right. The sniping was the only fun part, any part where you weren't sniping sucked.

[Prototype] would have been better if...I can't think of just one thing to fix. If they had worked on it for one more year before releasing it, maybe.

Left 4 Dead 2 would have been better if the characters didn't all act like asses.

Fallout 3 would have been better with a dynamic environment.

Mass Effect 2 would have been better with renegade/paragon options closer to Mass Effect 1.

X3:Reunion (any of them really) would have been better if things weren't so damned far apart. Even with the fast forward thing it's too spread out.

Fighting games should, let's use Super Street Fighter 4 as an example, have a 4 player feature, but still be 1v1. Confused? Well, I would make a fighting game like this. It starts and we all grab controllers and turn em on and choose 4 player, winner stays mode. Players 1 and 2 play. Player 1 wins, so the game goes to the character select screen and now Player 1 and Player 3 choose their characters. Now people use their own controller, they don't have to worry about who's turn it is, they don't have to worry about getting other peoples controllers dirty, and when the game tracks stats and shows you how many wins in a row someone has, or how many losses or wins they have had this play session, it's accurate and Player 4 will know that he's been doing pretty good. I hate passing off a controller, it makes it seem so archaic, I wish fighting developers would think outside the box more for the presentation of their game.

I could go on all day, but I suppose I'll just mention 3 that stand out.

Fable 2 - More Side Quests.

Red Faction: Guerrilla - Huge cities, more stuff to destroy, exc. Also, a halfway decent AI, the ability to carry more ammo, and the ability to take more than a stiff breeze before falling over (I know you can upgrade this later, but early on in the game, you're just piss-weak.)

Mirror's Edge - Better combat.

^ Of the three, the only one I can claim I "Don't like" is RFG.

Two I didn't mention were Oblivion, because there's far too much stuff I didn't like for me to get into right now, and Red Dead Redemption, which is still a good game, but has some issues that are sort of hard to explain in few words, which again would have required a lengthy post.

Gears of War 2- The final boss fight. Seriously, I don't think that you can call it a boss fight. They needed to make it a little bit more "fun".
