Top-down ASCII-ish game for the Amiga or an equivocal. It was about this gold digger running around in a maze (comprised of untouchable insta-kill walls) trying to pick up yellow asterisks.

The sounds scared the fuck out of me when I was young and I just can't find the title for it.

So yeah we all have that game that we loved to play but we forgot it's name. I had a game that was driving cars with guns on them to kill other cars with guns on them. It came on 2 CDs one blue and one orange, it was released in 1990-2003. It was awesome but i can't remember it's name. So post that game you forgot and try to figure out the names of other people's game to help them out. ;)
Streets of sim city is my guess for that one.

Interstate 76? Interstate 82? Two discs is throwing me, I have I76 somewhere I can't remember how many discs that had. If you pressed the G button did your partner read poems over the CB radio?

I haven't forgotten any of the games I liked, the crap games tend to blur together. As do all the Breakout/Arkanoid clones I've ever played.

It was a gladiator game on PS2, you played an upstart slave, bought your own weapons and armor, and could also scavenge them from fights, and It even had animal battles. I loved It but after I rented It I could never track It down again. Plus It was cool because It had choices, and oppurtunities, not every plot point was handed to you.

Oh, I want to say Dig Doug, but I think that was viewed from the side like Donkey Kong.

This old NES or SNES RPG that involved a mining town/cave that was infested with monsters and the main characters father was injured inside and you had to go in. I remember renting it all the time from a local grocery store before they stopped renting movies/games. I cant remember the name of this game or much more than what i described as i was young. It's pretty vague, i know. I'd be awesome if someone knew what game this was.
I think it's one of the Ys games, perhaps 3 on the SNES.

This old Dos game that was kinda like a desktop tower defense and was kinda like Lemmings, cept you had to...well shit I forgot. All I remember is a bunch of penguins having to get from start to finish without dying...and there was blood. Lots of blood. The game was so much fun I forgot the name of it after all these years

First person point and click mystery on the mac. You would walk around a mansion and click on object to find what the murder weapon was, what the murder room was, and who committed the murder. It was old IIRC, probably from around 2002 or earlier.
That sounds like Clue, I know it came out on PC a while back. I don't know the exact year though.

Perhaps it was Colosseum: Road to Freedom? I always meant to check out that game and Shadow of Rome (another PS2 gladiator game), but never had the chance...

I don't think I have this problem anymore.. although several years back (during my early MAME frenzy) I couldn't remember what the arcade game 'Vendetta' was called, or what 'Don't Pull' was called. I was reminded of 'Don't Pull' when I unknowingly downloaded a mobile version of it recently, it soon came flooding back.

There was a game I used play for the PS2... it was about supersoldiers who rebelled against their creators (Yeah, I know, not a hugely original story, but whatever). You could play as like, 4 or 5 different characters, and the ending changed depending on things like how many civilians you killed during the course of the game. The end boss fight (at least the one I played) had you facing off some government guy in a mech suit. I really want to play this game again.

I remember once reading a review (I have no idea WHEN it was) of a jet flight simulator. While I'm usually not into this kind of games THIS one (according to the review) had nonlinear champaign and "kinda" rpg elements in which you had multiple pilots.
Those pilots could also eject over enemy terrain get captured and tortured (and that gave you proper icon in the main base).

Sadly it's a game I never played...
I can't find the exact magazine in which I read the review, but this game has been kinda stalking me for like 2 years. I have NO IDEA what was it's name or was it's flying part even good. But at the time I was reading the article it fired me up so much that I instantly wanted to buy it... only I was young and didn't have the money.

So yeah long story short. A 8/10 game that I would probably very like and yet never played it... ehhh...

A Sega Genesis platformer where you played as a red dot. And a Sega CD game where you played as a basketball trying to launch yourself off your opponent into your hoop.
