I thought their site was down a few days ago as well. Strange.

It was - It's only been back for a day and now it's back down again.

First off: Why does that site being down for a day really mean that much to you? Does it matter that much that you can't look at their news articles or comment on their videos for internet cred?

Second: Most contributors have their own private sites where they upload their videos, in addition to their accounts on bliptv.com [http://blip.tv/] (which they all have). Who do you think hosts their videos?

i think they mean a distributed denial-of-service attack, it's a way hackers bring thinks down.

Under the gateway timeout "nginx/1.0.6" is displayed so I'm guessing whatever that is, it's probably the cause of the problem. Well... that or blip.tv as I'm always seeing the error when attempting to watch any video that uses it.
