I shall have 2 as well. Being pretentious is so challenging to me...

ITEM THE FIRST:

Swan Songs - Hollywood Undead

ITEM THE SECOND:

The Sound of Madness - Shinedown (This one is more serious, got me emotionally, not just with beats)

I've got to go with the ever brilliant Dark Side of the Moon-Pink Floyd. If you don't know why this is considered a fantastic piece of music I truly can't fathom how your mind works.

Probably one if the best albums I've ever listened to.

Honourable mention goes to Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band, as Lucy in the Sky with Diamond is the only song I've ever heard that just makes me smile like a fool every time I hear it.

Also, listening to some of the suggestions in this thread, Porcupine Tree are also pretty awsome.

I heard "Memory of trees" by Enya at a friend's birthday party back when I was a child, and I knew I absolutely HAD to get it for myself. So I did, and the wonderful world of celtic music was opened to me.

Fast forward some ten years, and someone got me to listen to a song by Nightwish, from the album Wishmaster. Then another one. Then the whole thing.
That album hit naive silly me, who thought all metal was hairy guys puking into microphones and using their instruments like they were trying to hit people with them, like a freight train. My music tastes evolved overnight, and from that day I've been meticulously collecting (digitally) every female-fronted gothic/melodic metal album that I can lay my hands on.
