That one game you missed out on.

I remember one day passing by a pre-owned yet good condition copy of Suikoden 2 for 19.99 because I didn't have the money at that time. From that day onwards I have regretted that (take a look at how much that goes for on ebay now to see its rarity) and to this day I get a little annoyed at losing that opportunity. When I went back with the money to get it the next day, it had already gone.

I am a total Suikoden fanatic, I own every game but that one.

Has anyone else missed out on a really rare game they wanted, but couldn't get at the time? What game was it?

I have so little money that it often comes down to me having to choose between one out of three AAA titles. And I missed out on Red Dead and Halo Reach for stupid Black Ops. I regret that decision.

I missed out on Persona 4....but then again, with that kind of game all you have to do is find a copy (no easy task without a credit card) to have not missed it.

It's a bit odd with games as you can just buy it later, torrent if needed or whatever.
But I would say I missed out on Halo Wars while it was around, no one's on multiplayer now :c

While I didn't "miss out" on Call of Duty, I was extremely late to the party (I didn't really start playing any CoD multiplayer until I started playing Black Ops last weekend).

So because of that, I'm profoundly terrible at it, and while it's still kind of fun to get levels and buy new weapons and stuff, it's beginning to reach the point where it's just not fun anymore, because I'm not even competing. If I can get my K/D above a 1.0 for a match, I feel like I've performed a miracle.

I missed out on Team Fortress Classic. TF2 was my introduction to the series, and when I bought TFC later on the servers were either empty or populated by bots most of the time.

It's too bad, as the game seemed like fun (except for all the grenade spam).

I still haven't played any Half Life (1 or 2), nothing from the Orange Box... Pretty much everything by Valve except Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Kinda depressing, but whenever I've gone out to buy one I've either decided not to for some reason or saw something else I had been waiting for and got that instead.
