So, trying to type at work today (not work typing... forum posting), I was reminded of one of those 'that one little injury' everyone's got that makes things troublesome or drives them nuts.

The catch to this thread is, you can only name one issue, and one only.

The one bugging me right now? The last joint on my right thumb. I broke this thumb when I was about 14, and now that I'm older, it's quite arthritic. I hate bending it, as it always pops and clicks and feels really tense and hot. It makes writing by hand an issue, and driving is uncomfortable sometimes as I can't curl my thumb around the wheel. I broke my thumb 4 weeks after breaking my pinkie on the same hand. Pinkie was basketball. Thumb was the first time I was allowed back to softball practise. Then I had to go try to write essay exams with a thumb splint, so I took off the splint and probably caused more damage in doing so.

So, what's your one little old injury or annoyance right now? Tooth ache? Sore muscle? Twitchy eye? Skipped lunch and feel sick? Only one, though. We all have dozens of issues and it would get long and boring if we listed everything wrong with us.

About a year ago I slightly tweaked a tendon in the front of my shoulder. Now when ever I work out for an extended period it gets really tight and somewhat painful. Doesn't stop me but is really obnoxious.

I have fucked up ankles that, when walking on uneven or slanted surfaces causes the tendon to contract/tighten which is extremely painful. This wouldn't be a big deal except for the fact that it seems that everything is slanted, and considering I have to walk two miles to get to my bus (and two miles back to get home) on sidewalks with a distinct slant meant to help avoid rainwater build up.

I have weird wrists, so pretty much throughout the day I'll randomly flick my hands just so my wrists crack.

I'm not sure if it's true, but I feel like if I don't do that, my wrists'll seize up. (It's happened before)

Not so much an inconvenience/injury I guess, but it sure is embarrassing when I do it by habit in public and get a weird look from someone. :/

I have a small build up of fluid on the back my left wrist that's like a small hard lump.

It comes and goes over the course of a few months but when it's there I can't bend my wrist back beyond a certain point or even attempt to get into a press-up position as it is agony to hold or put pressure on.

It isn't a 'constant pain' type injury it just really hurts when I try do certain things and I'm reminded the fucker is still there.

I have a scar just above my top lip. When I was 4 a kid with goofy teeth ran into my face. As a result I have a little gap in my tash because the hair won't grow where the scar is. Now some might think this would look cool because you can always add scars like these when you create game characters such as in Mass Effect. The problem is that my scar is right in the middle so it hardly notices. You other guys (and girls) have it so bloody easy...

Well, my knee is sort of fucked up. I damaged it on judo practice last august, and it took a month or two before I could walk properly on it again, as it would pop and krack and be generally painful as fuck, even bending it slightly was a lost cause. My friend called me Dr. House because of the way I was walking!
But now it's alright I guess, except it gets painful if I've been very active during my day.

Sore on my bottom lip. I don't know if it's a canker sore or a fever blister dealie. But I can't seem to stop picking at it. They tend to appear when my lips get so chapped that they crack and I absently toy with sad cracked part of my skin. Bam. Agony in a few days.

Even now, I'm still sort of gnawing on it.

I have a few niggling injuries that come back to haunt me from time to time.

After having my nose broken when I was 16/17 ish I always get big problems with my sinuses every time I get a relatively small cold.

I hurt my ankle a few years ago, I damaged the ligaments (I still don't know how) but now and again it comes back randomly to give me grief in the form of pain.

Possibly the most worrying one for me anyway is the soft spot I have on the top of my head from a old injury (a large metal bath tap hit me on the head from height) the spot hurts slightly if I ever touch it or it gets caught when I have my hair cut or wash my hair ect. Yay for likely skull damage.

One of my front teeth was smashed when I was 7, because someone threw a rock at me. Every few years I have to go to the Orthodontist to get it repaired it again.

I fractured one small finger when I was 14 and I broke the other this year, both while playing volleyball in school. (Small finger being the pinky finger) However, the one I broke recently is forever bent to the side... its not cool.

The only thing I can think of is the nerve damage in my left arm. I damaged it when I was 17 and despite what my physio told me at the time it's never properly healed so I can't feel anything down the side of my left forearm and in my left pinky and ring fingers.

Usually it's fine, but I'm a guitarist and although I've learned to compensate for it and play with it, it's still pretty frustrating when I bugger something I'm playing up and I know I can't do anything about it.

My back likes to go out every so often. Apparently it's from when someone who weighed about 400 lbs decided to use my back as a bench back in 4th grade. The pain gets bad enough that I can't even stand up some days.

My knee joint likes to stiffen up if I put my feet up, or when I stand for long periods of time without moving it. Apart from looking a little weird when I try to pop it this isn't too bad. No pain, just annoyance.

Stress makes me have frequent nose bleeds. Or rather Stress will trigger one or two, and the fact that I have thin blood or something prevents them from clotting as quick as they should so when I blow my nose to clear it out, that rips the scab off and my nose will begin bleeding again. They also wont stop bleeding unless I put a SHITTON of pressure on my nose, so much so that I have an instrument that's basically a padded clothespin that I have to put on my nose to stop it.

Did you mess up your ankles because of accidents? That's how I screwed mine up, in different incidents. I never got them looked at.

Now, my ankles will roll outward if I hit even so much as a pebble. I tried wearing fins in a pool once and I could feel my feet separating from my legs every time I kicked. Thankfully I don't experience any problems if I run in a straight line.

When I was a kid I fell off of a second story porch and effed up my right leg.

Now whenever I walk, or stand, or move I can feel a dull pain in my right knee, ankle and hip. It isn't too painful but as I do a lot of standing and walking at work and school it really starts to get to me. I get all stiff and sore for a while after too if it goes on too long.

Broken. Collar. Bone. Not only was it a horrific healing process (after spending 4 hours in hospital to get an X-ray and yadda yadda they told me they couldn't do anything for it. So essentially they told me what I already knew and sent me on my way. Whenever I moved it was sharp jolting pain for at least two weeks) but now it's got a rather unsightly bulge along my collarbone line where it healed. It's perfectly fine according to the Doctor, it's not laible to snap again, but it does ache at times and when doing any exercise it tends to hurt.

I jumped off a bed when I was seven and landed on the head of a nail sticking out of the wall. It gave me a scar that is about 4 cm long right under my right kneecap. Now that I'm older I actually get a bit of a limp in humid weather because I damaged something important in there.

Go figure I also have a slightly deformed right foot, so I tend to have a noticeable limp on days when I've been standing for a long time and the weather is bad.

I have really bad shoulders. Last year I had to take the majority of throw-ins for my soccer team (I put a lot of effort into each throw) and by the end of the season I could feel that they were very lose and close to dislocating. I still cant throw a tennis ball properly yet and most weight exercises seem to hurt more than they should.

I got into a fight back in January and fractured my Scaphoid (tiny wrist bone) and I'm STILL in plaster because the bone only has one very small blood vessel to supply it with osteoblasts (bone re-building cells). I should get it off in... 9 days, but I'll likely end up having aches there for the rest of my life.

The other guy however; he ended up with three broken fingers from bashing me in the head and a broken nose from me hitting him back. I also found out a week later that he'd been banned from every pub in town after getting caught doing blow in the toilets somewhere. That made me chuckle.
