Have you ever had that one piece of music or section of a song that you find yourself mildly obsessed with and listening to over and over and over?

Right now for me that is the beginning of Ney Rosauro's 2nd Marimba Concerto Mvt 2 "Reflections and Dreams." I'm going to be playing that with piano accompaniment for my recital and I cannot get enough of the beginning of that song. I think it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard and I wish that section of the song appeared elsewhere in the piece. It's so calming and soothing and just...aaaaah :)

What about you fellow Escapists? What song/piece of music do you have an obsession with?

Currently it's "We've Got a Situation Here" by The Damned Things.
I love it.

Happens to me all the time. Recently it's been the last part of 'Shall Never Surrender' from DMC4, and I'm also into 'Welcome to the Black Parade' by My Chemical Romance, 'Back in Black' by AC/DC, the Pirates of the Carribean theme, and, strangely enough, 'Fuck You' by Cee Lo Green (although not the 'Forget You' radio version).

Lol. Looking at your name and your avatar, I never would have guessed that you were a fan of the Doctor. But seriously, it is an awesome themesong.

I'll occasionally find myself listening to this song over and over again. Its a great song, and one of the small cadre of songs that I like which aren't in English. Once I get started on it I tend to listen to it for the next hour or so.

A lot from the Battlestar Galactica Soundtrack. But The Shape of Things to Come specifically.

That's actually 2 pieces of music played in sequence because they go well together. The Shape of Things to Come starts at 3:55, but the first part is still from BSG and is actually inspire by The Shape of Things to Come, like so many other things from that soundtrack.

And this from Doctor Who.

Ezekiel (The Visionary) by For Today, most of the song is brutal growling but near the end (3:20 to be exact) he starts singing and it makes the song 20X better.
Disclaimer: This band is a Christian metal band and sing about religion and stuff, so if that bothers you that much don't watch the video.

For some reason, it's the Katamari Damacy theme at the moment. I've not even played the game!

I occasionally get a soundtrack song stuck in my head such as:

or more recently:

(Video irrelevant - just the song) but this song has been stuck in my head since I started L.A. Noire. The worst part is just as I stop humming it, my girlfriend will start (or it will play in the game) and the cycle continues.

For me it'd definately be Transmigration Macabre by Arch Enemy.
I like other songs more but this part of the song I love and i listen to a lot at the moment.

Edit: It's the next 15 or so second in the song

I first heard this song about 7 years ago (Guess where). And I've listened to it AT LEAST once a week, For the past. SEVEN. YEARS.

I....just can't get enough of it. And I honestly don't think I ever will.
