A lot from the Battlestar Galactica Soundtrack. But The Shape of Things to Come specifically.

That's actually 2 pieces of music played in sequence because they go well together. The Shape of Things to Come starts at 3:55, but the first part is still from BSG and is actually inspire by The Shape of Things to Come, like so many other things from that soundtrack.

And this from Doctor Who.

This and what TimeLord posted. Love me some BSG and DW.

For some reason, it's the Katamari Damacy theme at the moment. I've not even played the game!
You should. :)

Even if you don't like it, it's a unique experience. Maybe see if you can borrow the game from a friend?

For me recently it's been "Acid Rain" by Liquid Tension Experiment. Jazz-inspired instrumental progressive metal. I've been listening to the song regularly for 7 years, and it hasn't become old for me. :-D

Edit: Replacing the NYC recording with the LA recording, because both the audio and video quality seem to be better.

This one perfectly describes the type of song you're talking about. Just listen to that piano solo at around the 3:35 mark. Simply orgasmic.

You know that was Ike Turner on that track, he even played it live...<.<

OT: This song made, or rather makes, me cry like a little girl and was the first thing to get a true emotional response out of my cold dead heart in a long time...

Thank you Incredible Bullshitting Man for showing my this song...

This might be slightly mainstream, but I'm in freakin' love with this song right now.
Relaxing as hell. Great tune! Will be a blast to see live next week.

Currently it's "We've Got a Situation Here" by The Damned Things.
I love it.

You, sir, get the worlds biggest cookie! ETID are one of my joint favourite bands ever (alongside Gallows and The Gaslight Anthem) and Anthrax & FOB are both fantastic bands, ergo there is no greater band than The Damned Things!

As for me, it's FFAF - Roses For The Dead
I've been back in a real Funeral phase recently and can't stop listening to the fantastic Hours album

It's the exact length of time it takes for me to drive to (and from) school. As a result of that - and the fact that I absolutely LOVE it - it's very recently rocketed to the top of my "25 Most Played"

Seriously, if he concentrated more on tracks like this, I think Kanye would get a lot more respect for what he does.

I've been looking for a copy for a little while, actually, but without success so far. I've found plenty of NTSC discs on eBay, but I can't find any PAL ones anywhere. How does We Love Katamari compare? That's still available new on Amazon, I think.

Baba Yetu from Civ IV. I would turn on the game pump up the volume and leave it at the menu for hours.
