You know the one. You'll be watching some dull movie, half-asleep and just wondering when it's going to end, when this one scene comes along, one awesome scene that sticks with you, and maybe even redeems the film.

Having recently watched 2005's DOOM, the scene that immediately comes to mind is the first-person sequence.

What's yours?

Well, since any movie I bothered to watch all the way through WAS good enough (or bad enough) to do so with, the question's invalid.

So, my answer is basically Doom, except that I like Doom.

"The Night Watch" movie adaption was okay, but not as good as the books. Then something happens which isn't in the book. In the major fight scene the bad-guy reaches his hand around to his back, disloactes his neck, grabs his spine, and pulls it out revealing it to be a steel serated blade-like thing. I was seriously impressed.

Now that it's been said, it's essentially the only thing I can think of. Thats it...this topic is now over for me. Thanks a lot. -_-

Jeepers Creepers, which I saw many years ago through a chance, was a movie so bad I can't recommend to anyone. But there was one good scene in the whole movie. A ghost car suddenly coming to chase a car with the characters in it. One good moment in a whole movie. It wasn't even awesome, but it instantly came to mind so I thought to mention it.

I don't think there really has been a scene like that. At least I can't remember one. But I was looking for such a scene in Social Network. Didn't see any of that, just silly collages.

Kick ass for me

now this breaches the parameters of the thread a little
because i LOVED kick ass
BUT
throughout the whole film the point is that kick ass is pathetic
which is fine and i enjoyed seeing him lightly dab a crappy baton against a bad guys face and get his face smashed up every 3 minutes
but that set a precedent of low key action sequences
i got used to him having scrappy melee fights and barely coming out of them
then BOOM Big Daddy's fight with those gangsters in that lumber place?
THAT was unexpectedly awesome

its still not as good as the Finale with hitgirl in that guys house. But this came first and vastly changed the pace of the film
