A few months ago i started listening to this song "Metalingus" by Alter Bridge, id heard the song before, because i was a bit of a wrestling fan in about 2006, until it turned into a huge sloppy mess (Well, sloppier) but back to my main point, i started listening to the complete song and realized that i freaking loved it, its easily one of my favourite songs. I then got to thinking, im sure this band must have other great songs, so i did a bit of youtubing looking for more songs by alter bridge and i found out that Metalingus was the only song from them i enjoyed.

So escapists do any of you have that one song that you really like but cant get into any other songs from the same artists?

Yes, nearly all the time. I listen to metal and progressive rock and half the bands only have one good song. It really annoys me that they can produce a fantastic song, yet make crap ones which people like, therefore no one ever talks about that one good song you like.

I feel this way about Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Loved Karn Evil 9, First Impression (both parts---the one they play on the radio with the "welcome back my friends..." bit and the first part, which doesn't get radio airplay), but just can't get into any of their other work.

So far, this is how I feel about Rev Theory. I discovered them today on Slacker Radio, with their song "Hell Yeah". I was freaking blown away by the song, so I went to check out some of their other stuff. From what I've heard, I'm underwhelmed. Bang Camaro, a somewhat similar band, beats them in every way.

Also, Atreyu. I can't stand any of their songs, except for the one that's so different from the rest: "Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor)".

Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" is awesome, but I don't like any of their other pieces. I only found that out AFTER I bought one of their albums.

Also Avenged Sevenfold's "Warmness on the Soul" was kinda catchy for me for a while, the rest of their stuff can go where the sun don't shine.

Manowar. King of Kings, to be fair they have a lot of good stuff but that one stands out - for me at least.

Montreal Stadium dude. The only ELP I like is their rendition of Fanfare for the Common Man.

Whereas I don't tend to subscribe to the idea that Aaron Copland was meant to be covered on a Moog synthesizer. (I feel the same way about ELP's version of Hoedown.)
