I've seen the college party animal stereotype, the ones that run up and down the halls of the dorm and go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH! It's a real pain in the ass... *Sigh* I guess that's what I get for living on the party floor...

Having recently (half a year I guess) Hug School. Ere are a few groups.

1) The gangsters. I shouldn't have to explain why. They all think they're the next Scarface because they smoke weed and play on an organized sports team. Yet, they'll either end up saying screw it and becoming some suit who works in an office building, or tuning into some low level dealer who dies of some disease that rots your organs.

2) the kids from the suburbs who THINk they're in category 1 because they occasionally go over to another Type 2 kids house and smoke some weed and buy whatever booze they picked up at the gas station.

3) the "I play COD, do you", "no I play other games", "gamings for fags. COD is the shit", "it really isn't", "whatever. Gamers are fags". This person is usually in either of the aforementioned categories.

4) "I play sports. Therefore I'm better than you". Wow. You play on some crappy minor local hockey team where half the players own parents don't even show up. You are my master at everything. I'm one of the least athletic people ever. Yet, I played a year of HS FB and once I got a hat-trick in floor hockey in gym class. Those don't sound impressive ? Well, neither are your crappy little achievements.

I'd say I've met the entire Ethnic Cliche Spectrum.

What's REALLY interesting is how we tend to emphasize the cases in which this happens in other races, and try to play down the cases in which it happens in our own race.

Black people who try their hardest to fulfill the negative stereotypes of their race!

They make me want to use the N-word.
Because that makes sense.

And your later comment is even more stupid. "If you're acting like a n*gger, I should be allowed to call you a n*gger." N*gger is racist slang for any black person, you do understand what you're saying, right?

OT: I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who would easily fit the other N-word stereotype.
xD

I know quite a few Asians who are good at Math or at Martial Arts, but then I mostly hang out with fellow Taekwondo people and Math Majors, so it's to be expected.

Some of the people in my math class are somewhat stereotypical nerds and in high school I played football with a bunch of stereotypical jocks/black guys. They're all decent people though, and for what it's worth I like them cliches and all.

I love the internet stereotypes -

>forum tough guys
>I went to a psychology class once, I can totally analyse you
>Nobody understands me, my sheer depth baffles them
>My life was the hardest
>I think you'll find my education is superior. I shall prove this to be fact by utilising unnecessarily lengthy vocabulary selections and mocking your opinions relentlessly

I prefer them because you base them on what people say, rather than how the look or act.
I applaud you:}

also ive meet the "the drama king who uses "hes gay" as an excuse to justify the horrible stuff he does to people to act superior" Oh my gosh i hate that asshole!

The spoiled emo kid who acts like they have the worst life in the world and ***** about how they want to run away from home and live on the streets when their family is seriously like the happiest, nicest bunch of people in the world. Also, their favorite bands were Good Charlotte and MCR. They also talked about vampires a lot.
those are very good bands...

There's a guy I have to deal with in college who is absolutely convinced that any tame that isn't Black Ops is "totally gay". There's also a couple of stoner kids too, and the kind of test scores they get reflect it, so I suppose that lifestyle is its own punishment.

This is the stereotype I see the most often these days though: Where I work I see so many stereotypical college girls of the "like, oh, em, gee!" variety, so often that they've all started to blend together into one amorphous creature.
There's no individuality either: They all order the same meal, have the same build and general appearance, and wear basically the same outfit. It's like some sort of fashion obsessed Borg collective.

I can't think of a stereotype I haven't encountered. Except, of course, Asians being smaller, since I've never been in the position to confirm that, and actually would rather avoid being in that position.

I think I've read the responses of about 50 living stereotypes on this topic alone(I haven't physically met them of course, but my cynical imagination is filling in the rest).

I guess the stereotype I encounter too often is the overly macho straight/bi/gay guy who has to prove how manly he is, that he's anal (pun intended) about every little human interaction and how he comes off to other guys. Basically so paranoid in his own skin that those "camp" gays he makes fun of end up having happier existences than he ever does.

I ran into someone who fit the stereotype for redneck perfectly, uses guns, funny accent, likes country music etc. The only problem was that he was from Australia and has Australian relatives...

Oh geez, where to begin. I think I have met all of them, and some are worse then others.

The ones I hate the MOST is the snooty, middle class, religious, white mother. These creatures are much too dangerous to let roam free, but congress keeps shooting down my Psychotic Stuffy Old ***** Island idea.

Young welfare parents with lots of kids.

It's not really a case of 'running into', more of the status quo of my town.
