When I was going to get married, that girl you can recruit in Whiterun's bar just randomly appeared. Oh, and she was dead prior to this. When her corpse appeared on the ground, everyone got angry and the wedding was off. To get married, I had to actually pick up her body and hide her in one of the rooms so that no one would see her.

If she didn't want me to get married, she should have talked to me in ghost form or something like that - not come and leave her corpse. It's like going to someone's wedding and leaving a bag of dog shite in front of the church doors.

I agree, Skyrim companions are more or less damage sponges and pack bitches.

BUT! You don't like Rex?! He's easily my favorite non human companion from the Fallout series, that dog tanks it up like no tomorrow. Either way, Danny Trejo is still awesome.[/quote]

Well, you have to see it my way. In Vault 22 (in think), where you have to burn everything in order to kill all the spores, the explosion literally wiped ED-E of the face of the Earth. When I went to get Rex to do the mission, I couldn't get him - he was a forbidden fruit. When I eventually got him with another character, he didn't feel as useful as, let's say, a flying, Enclave, killing machine with a laser.

Anyone else annoyed by the puzzle doors? The doors where you have 3 pictures and you have to sort them into the right order to pass, if you get the order wrong a trap (Flamethrowers, arrows, whatever) is activated. As far as I can tell there is no clue to what the right order is and the correct order seems to be arbritry most of the time.
Back of the Dragon Claw. "The Key is in the Palm of your Hand."

The Organizations. At least in Oblivion you had to do some work to become the master Guild leader. It's far to easy to take over the companions or become the Arch-Mage. That's not my main concern my main concern is lack of plot power. You can become Thane in every city yet still only hold enough political power to own a freaking house, have one person as a follower, and at most have the guards ignore your petty crimes. I run the last remaining members of the Brotherhood, I'm the Dragonborn, I'm the leaders of the blades, yet a single chicken in Riverwood seems to be of trump me in importance.

Minor Spoilers, beware.

The Blades, it makes no sense. The Blades want you to kill Paathrurnax, the dragon who sits at the throat of the world, because of his crimes against humanity. Paathrurnax was the Dragon that taught Men to use the Th'um. A power they would later use to overthrow the Dragons. While the battle between Alduin and the Heroes is commencing Paathrurnax is leading a group of dragons against the Dragons who sided with the world eater. Humainty would still be wallowing under the heel of Alduin and his Kin if not Paathrurnax.

How do the blades, the ancestors of the very people who Paathrurnax freed from Alduin's tyranny, react to all this. "While it is true that he betrayed Alduin, how do we know he won't betray us in turn." It makes no sense.

Speaking of Alduin when he comes back guess who divines the only way of stopping him, Paathrurnax. Guess who helps the Dragonborn in battle him upon the throat of the world, Paathrurnax. It makes no sense.

The face that traders have a "gold limit" is absolutely ridiculous. It is the most tedious thing selling 2 dragon bones then going to another trader selling some more, then waiting 2 day so they get more gold. Also they buy only certain items, there is a perk for this, but why is there a perk for something everyone should have?!

Companions are completely insignificant in TES... it's probably cause it's meant to be played solo, but someone thought "Hey, you know what worked in F3/F:NV? Companions!". That said, honestly, I mostly saw F3/F:NV companions the same way.

It's a result of two things:
- Their absolutely highest quality is "I can double the amount of shit you can carry", which is the product of the fact the game industry still sucks at friendly AI and doubly so in open world games.
- They don't participate in your story.

Anyway, the one thing I don't like about Skyrim is the fact custom spells are out of the picture. When I started the game, I thought to myself (playing a stealth/archer assassin atm), "holy shit, I can totally see myself replaying this soon as a mage to focus on that all the way, magic rocks!". Then I realised the only spells you have is what you get, which doesn't make for a large variety of them and a lot of that feeling went away :(

There's only one thing I wanna do in Skyrim that it won't let me do: Kill Maven Black-Briar.

I'll admit, going through the first half of the thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood makes me an evil f*cker, but at least I'm not snarky, stuck-up and just plain b*tchy like she is.

There ARE Horse Carriages.
Ones that don't move and are static objects and total to about 5 in the entire game....*facepalm*

...Sonofabitch! How the hell did I not notice that? Time for some LA Noire-style item turning!

I gave my compagnion full dwarven armor and a two-handed axe, he kicks ass now. :D

the one ring slot is kinda of a bummer though.

Ehhhhh, you speedrunners. No wonder you're becoming bored that quickly. ;)

OT : Skyrim, give me back my mare or at least show me where she is (or her mortal remains). :(

I found the skill sets of Skyrim alot more restrictive than earlier elder scroll games that really annoyed me.

I thought when i heard i was to ride Odahviing to the dragon temples i was like awesome. Then i jumped on and we flew off screen and instantly found myself at the temples. How could people like Bethesda miss such a golden opportunity
I posted about that elsewhere the other day, it was one thing that hugely frustrated.
Especially because
He really built it up and went on about how jealous I would beb ecause I can't fly like a dragon

-Character animations are stiff and boring.

-Pretty bad voice acting.

-Main quests aren't that great.

-Magic is boring.

-Only one ring slot.

-No robes over armor.

-Still no spear/halberd/throwing stars/throwing knives; poor weapon selection to choose from.

-Needing to level up other skills even if you don't like them just to go to higher levels to choose perks for what you want.

-Poor armor selection (you basically have to make everything if you want something better, instead of buying).

Besides any of that, I love Skyrim.
