Anyone ever had wet bread? Absolutely disgusting; a couple of years ago i bit into a half a hotdog where the really thick base was all soggy and it tasted fucking awful. I might've tasted worse but that's the one that really sticks out, after at least two years i can still remember it clearly
You too, huh? I hate wet bread. Usually, I don't care about the state of my food as long as it's still edible, but wet bread is...wow. It doesn't even have to be wet with water, as far as I'm concerned. It could be wet from juice or milk or tea, things which I think taste good, and I'd still want to barf upon drinking it. (That's why I hate au jus so much.)

As for the worst thing I've ever tasted...well...once in this camp, there was an annual tradition of eating something disgusting. Kind of a dare thing, if you know what I mean? One year it was sardines, which I was okay with, I guess, but the other year I was there it was some sort of...sauce...thing. It looked like caramel with whipped cream, but it most certainly was not. Oh, god, I was sick.

Wasabi. Tried it because my friend said it was one of the spiciest things he'd ever had and that few people could tolerate it (It was at a sushi restaurant, and he was treating me and our mutual friend, as we'd never tried it before). As I was somewhat of a connoisseur of spicy foods, I immediately tried it. I can't even describe the taste, it defies all comparison, but the smell and texture reminded me of half-dried Play-Doh. The feeling of it and the awful taste stuck in my mouth for hours afterward. The kicker, I didn't even detect any form of spice, no burning in the mouth or nostrils, no tears, no sinus expansion, not evn a tingle.

Ludafisk... or something like that. I'm sure you know what it is.

Nasty, rubbery thing. Almost made me swear off fish forever.
The entire point it to taste bad. It's whitefish that's been stewing in a cold lye (Material soap is made from) solution for over a week AT MINIMUM.

Edit: Hey, 300th post.

Sourkraut, it's so disgusting not even I will eat it and I've been known among my friends to eat anything.

And if you don't know what sourkraut it's pickled cabbage.

Some pills taste horrible if you let it dissolve in your mouth.

In the 6th grade I lost my lunch box. After I found it a month later, I saw that I had macaroni and cheese in there. I opened it, and was blown back by an invisible cloud of putrid odor. Needless to say I didn't eat it.

The Durian plant. I had these wafers made from durian when I was a kid because my mom was at the asian market and was curious. As soon as we opened the package this god awful smell filled the whole house. The smell alone made me gag, but we tried them anyway. Oddly enough I didn't throw up until several hours AFTER...

Doing some research showed that Durians are illegal to bring on aircraft.

I once was the butt of a horrible joke and there was salt in a sugar container. I made myself a hot chocolate with the stuff, and it was one of those hot chocolate mixes that's really bitter unless sugar is added.... so naturally I poured the salt in thinking it was sugar.

The rancid taste haunts my memory still.....

Also, when I was little my dad made me Spaghetti with sauce he got from a can, it was really off but when I tried to tell him this, he denied such theories as he always does.... the stink alone was ungodly and I actually threw up.
Never tasted it, don't want to imagine it. I doubt I would be here right now if I had tasted it.

I basically don't have much of a sense of taste any more, so the worst thing I can eat is hot chilli.

I accidentally ate a fiery beast of one yesterday thinking it was a little shrivelled up sun-dried tomato. Sneaky little bastard got me good for a few minutes.

I'm not sure what it's called. It's some sort of herb, seems to be pretty common. I know it's sometimes used in salsa, at any rate. But my first encounter with it was at a Chinese restaurant. I was eating my dinner, and saw a huge piece of it. It kinda looked like a clover of some sort. Anyways, it was the strongest, most bitter thing I've ever tasted. I tried to get it down asap, but I just couldn't do it. I had to go to the bathroom and spit it out <_<

Also, peas. Absolutely disgusting to my taste buds.

Cod liver oil. My mother used to give us a spoonful of that every day before school. I'm not sure why. But at least she was kind enough to give us a mint to take the taste away.

Blech.

Coffee. I think it tastes like tree shit.

Chocolate-covered coffee beans. Found some in my kitchen and thought they were raisins (because I like chocolate-covered raisins) and then once I ate one, I had to eat a pack of gum, a lot of water, and a forth lunch [I ate two and three before (I am a hobbit)]

Smell of coffee, I cant go near it.
