I am talking about the strange little "compulsions" you only develop while playing a certain game.

I was just playing Fallout 3 and realised that my "obsession" had gone too far when I blew a woman up with a grenade because she saw me stealing a hammer... For some unknown reason I was taking hammers anytime I saw them, I never sold them I just took them back to my house and put them in the filing cabinet next to the bed. :D

Also, on Oblivion I always gather up any bonemeal I can find and eat them in groups of 10 and leave the eating for a day while I go on adventuring and getting bonemeal along the way for tommorrows feast... However this one actually serves a slight purpose in that it raises my alchemy skill... The hammers on Fallout 3 get me nothing. :D

So, what are your weird game-related compulsions?
lol thats quite funny :D

Erm, i tend to get too into character, like i'll make up my own storys and give my character speech :$. err, when i used to play Call of Duty at LAN partys I used to love being a sniper and i'd find a hiding spot, camp for about 5 mins then move to another spot, however in the buildings i was hiding in i'd often end up jumping on the furniture, like from chair to chair and onto the table then a dress then onto the sofa.. idk why, but it'd often get me shot :D

I absolutely HAVE to have a full clip of ammunition. And in games where you can carry only so much ammo I MUST have full ammo to be at the top of my game.
This. I have to always have a fresh clip in my gun. If i fire even a 3 shot burst out of a 30 round clip, i reload. Im very OCD about it.

In Final Fantasy I have become obsessive with all four of my characters having the same experience points, so that I will restart from my last save if I'm in a dungeon where I can't revive them.

Thank god (who may or may not exist) I'm on an emulator and obsessively save state every five seconds...

Your tenpenny suite has a fancy little safe under the desk. Its where I kept all my pre-war money. I also stacked my shelves with all the food I could find, since I considered it one of the most valuable things to have in a lawless wasteland.

Its a shame you never really needed food and water for survival. Although theres most likely a mod for that out there.
I also kept it locked in the safe in the Tenpenny suite!
I might actually start saving up the food and water as well now. That's not a bad idea.

In Oblivion, I'd break into houses, and not take anything. I just love breaking open houses.
I am both impressed, and a little scared. Nope.. Mostly impressed.

I've always been collecting Pre-War Money in Fallout 3. I just like the thought that, if I'd live in the old days and that money was actually still worth more than bottlecaps, I'd be a millionaire.

If you buy themes like the Pre-War theme, your shelves get stocked with a lot of food. So, that could solve your problem.
I tried that but I didnt like having a tricycle, dog house and a stuffed dog in my house so I reloaded after buying that. Besdies, I already collected much more than what you get from that. You can never have enough conservable food.

Nuke Quantum can also serve as groovy decorative lighting.

In Fallout, I collect Teddy Bears. No matter the risk of stealing them, I take all the Teddy bears I can find.

In Gears of War I refuse to swap out any of my original weapons, which often leads to me getting Demolished by snipers.
That teddy bear thing will come in useful in... THE PITT! :D

Everytime in oblivion when i was playing my thief character I'd steal stuff from one guard and put in the pocket of another guard.

My little brother and I often take games with bots on multiplayer, an set up entire stories that go from level to level. Usually games like Battlefront or L4D, it's easy and fun, because we always play as ourselves.

In Fallout 3 I would spend hours dragging dead bodies around to different locations. Mainly just trying to get everyone to respawna nd kill themselves so I don't have to. But also to see if I can mess up the game anyhow, like by stacking groups of raiders in key quest or NPC roaming areas.

I always had it in my head that one day I would have every corpse stacked up right in front of Megaton for immediate chaos no matter when I desired it, but kind of quit the game for the most part before those plans ever came into fruition. I do have several raiders, hunters, slavers, and enclave there on my main game, but not nearly enough to cause the sort of damage I want.
