I always have to have a full clip in FPS's. In RTS i would always build up the largest army possible (even in the tutorials) and then kill anything that's moving and nuke anything i missed.

Oh and when i used to play WoW no matter where and how i was going i would always jump

EDIT: and i have a thing for killing people with melee combat or weapons which usually ends up with me dead around 5 soldiers laughing and pointing at me.

I absolutely HAVE to have a full clip of ammunition. And in games where you can carry only so much ammo I MUST have full ammo to be at the top of my game.
yep im like that too even if you shoot one bullet out of the gun its gotta be reloaded.

In Oblivion, I collected books.

Jewels too.

And I'd use the scroll glitch to fill the Imperial City wells with oranges.

:-O I do that too! I don't even do it on purpose, it's just a weird knack I have, especially on Saints Row 2!

I just have to drop bodies from large drops. Its so fun to watch them fall and then crush to the ground. I mostly did that in oblivion when there was a huge chasm nearby

I knew a girl that would always put a nightshade flower in her victims pocket while doing The Dark Brotherhood missions. I was like, wow that's neat, so i started doing it with onions. I wonder what the constible of these towns thought during their investigation. I also am a compulsive theif as well. I make around 5000g a week and I will still break in and steal your silver cookware. I think I have around 150,000 gold at the moment.

In Oblivion I spent ages trying to collect all the books and arranging them nicely on the shelves in my houses. My brother always tries to collect every type of armor for the display cases.
I did the book thing, I was trying to get a copy of every book in the game.

Also I would take the skull from the dungeon at the beggining of the game EVERY time I started a new game and just carry it about.

On a non oblivion topic I try to play a game while touching the floor as little as possible, I will scramble onto furniture and buildings wherever possible so I don't have to touch it.

I am talking about the strange little "compulsions" you only develop while playing a certain game.

I was just playing Fallout 3 and realised that my "obsession" had gone too far when I blew a woman up with a grenade because she saw me stealing a hammer... For some unknown reason I was taking hammers anytime I saw them, I never sold them I just took them back to my house and put them in the filing cabinet next to the bed. :D

Also, on Oblivion I always gather up any bonemeal I can find and eat them in groups of 10 and leave the eating for a day while I go on adventuring and getting bonemeal along the way for tomorrows feast... However this one actually serves a slight purpose in that it raises my alchemy skill... The hammers on Fallout 3 get me nothing. :D

So, what are your weird game-related compulsions?
This one isn't directly mine, but it is a sterling example of what you're talking about- I had a room mate that played oblivion and when he got to the dark brotherhood missions he started collecting any and all skulls that he found so he could put them in front of his fireplace in the waterfront shack in the imperial city. He ended up with some ridiculous number of them, something like over 200 at one point. You couldn't see the floor, bed, or tables because they were completely covered in skulls.

In Resident Evil 5, when I arrived at the research facility and enterred the room in which the test animals resided, I felt compelled to give them all a swift and painless death. I saw their starved bodies and couldn't help but feel that considering the lack of humans around and the abundance of B.O.W.s, it'd be best to end their suffering.

I felt a bit silly for it once my immersion faded.

well whenever i change my xbox avatar i always do that little funny "raise da roof!" animation with my avatar

whenever i use the boomer in GoW2 i always shout "BOOM!" in a deep voice before EVERY shot

whenever i use explosives in games i always shout the classic TF2 Demoman "KA-BEEEWMN!!!"

when i pin enemies pody parts to walls with the Railway Rifle in Fallout 3 i tend to say "All Aboard!"

also in fallout 3 after every single swing of the Power Fist i scream "FALCOWN PAAAAAAWWWNCH!!"

Also, also in Fallout 3 i collect all the nuka-colas i can find and keep them in the cola machine in my house to make them ice-cold i never drink them but i keep them anyway

i think that both of those scenarios would make a smashing film.

I've always been collecting Pre-War Money in Fallout 3. I just like the thought that, if I'd live in the old days and that money was actually still worth more than bottlecaps, I'd be a millionaire.
Your tenpenny suite has a fancy little safe under the desk. Its where I kept all my pre-war money. I also stacked my shelves with all the food I could find, since I considered it one of the most valuable things to have in a lawless wasteland.

Its a shame you never really needed food and water for survival. Although theres most likely a mod for that out there.
It's just a shame that I pretty much destroyed both houses. Hang on, can i still go to my house after the little ghoul run-in in tenpenny?

My biggest one is fighting. You know in KH they give you summons or drive forms? Or in FFXII you have quickening? Never ever use them. When the game gives me things that make life easier, I avoid them. Yup, button mashing all the way.

Oh, and trigger happy. Don't care if it wastes my ammo, just holding down the button in GoW and watching the bullets go makes me happy. Plus, sometimes I get lucky and actually hit things! My headshot count is growing!

Oh! And corpses! If there's a corpse I can do something with, I have to do it. Shoot it/move it/throw it, whatever. Gotta be done. :p

I can't stop stacking books in Oblivion. Also, everything in my house in that game MUST be perfect, in terms of looks and organization.

In LittleBig Planet I would always have a piece of cloth attached to my head. If someone put something over it or removed it, I would put it back there.

After killing people in Oblivion, I would take their weapon if they had one and try to make it look like they were impaled. Either that, or I'd get some beer bottles and make them look like they're just passed out drunk.

In Fallout 3, when I played, sometimes I would just grab a whole bunch of dead people and close a door on them to watch them. Or I'd grab an explosive, make them hug it and shoot said explosive.

In Fallout 3, I have an ungodly amount of caps, because I loot everything, then sell. I never spend anything if I can help it. I just want to be rich is all.

EDIT: Also I collect teddy bears in Fallout.
