Um, EVERYTHING about the military in the movie "The Hills Have Eyes 2". Did they have a military advisor or did they just make it up as they went along. It ruined the whole movie for me (okay, made it worse since I thought it was bad anyway). Seriously though, they perform horribly in the training scenario yet are assigned to protect a top secret research facility? They have a female as Infantry (as of this writing, the US military does not permit women to be Infantry. Don't ask me why, I don't make the rules). They lay their weapons down, walk away from the squad, and all have random uniforms. By "random uniforms", I mean that some are wearing their LBE and others aren't, nobody is wearing their field bandage on their LBE, and things like that.
Also, the same type of thing bugged me in "Dear John" when the soldiers were in the field and some had camo rags on their helmet while others didn't. Why?! Also, as a sidenote: my sister-in-law had no idea what a "Dear John" letter meant, lasted 10 minutes out of what was meant to be a very light and easy 2 hour workout, and refuses to work out or study yet thinks she will make it in the military. She's even talked to a recruiter! I just think that's laughable...and sad. (I was being REALLY nice, when I normally prep people for enlistment I get really mean and stuff. Not this time. I didn't want her to quit on the first day by it being ultra tough and scaring her off of like the last guy...oh well, I weed out the weak so the military doesn't have to do it.)
PS: I used to be a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army and if you want good prep for the military, let me know. I'll let you know what you need to do and what to know. If you live near Cocoa Beach, FL then let me know and I'll do my best to make sure you're ready (that's where I live). It won't be easy but "The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war". Also, please don't waste my time. I've already dealt with enough people saying that they "truly can make it" who end up never showing up or quitting on the first day. I'm honestly not that mean...some people just refuse to put forth any actual effort.
