I wholeheartedly endorse this... Ever said to someone "Surely you can't be serious" and heard "I am serious... and don't call be Shirley" as the reply? Airplane.The_root_of_all_evil said:Watch Airplane.
It's awesome, pick it up if you can.

I knew this would happen some day... *goes away to sob silently in the corner of her room*zeldakong64 said:A sister huh. Well too bad Meet the Spartans taught me that girls are for homos; I'm afraid we can't be friends.sanomaton said:Actually you've found a sister but yay for us!zeldakong64 said:I've found a brother! I never ever use the word gay unless I mean homosexual (or happy if I'm feeling archaic), but Meet the Spartans is the gayest movie I've ever seen in my life. Horrible horrible piece of garbage.sanomaton said:The gayest non-gay movie ever? Oh dear *shakes head*
I don't really care for comedies and this one made me feel horrible. Pass. :|
All these scary/epic/disaster/superhero/date movie(s) really are terrible. It seems like a bunch of frat boys wrote down their "wouldn't it be funny if" conversations*high five*
But seriously thinking about it you are right. I can just imagine some frat boys laughing their asses off and writing down or just having a conversation, "Wouldn't it be funny if they really were gay - lulz!"
Thank you for your post. It made me smile. Can you be my friend? :3 I'm not that bad.Amnestic said:...

Wei~ And you'll be up for free hugs any time you want. (Unless you're gonna stab me, then I'll leave the hugs for my other mates)Amnestic said:I don't see why not. I'm a bit wary of people who say they can hug across large bodies of water. The last person who said that and meant it was a bit clingy, which was impressive considering she lived in Dubai and still managed to knock on my door daily.sanomaton said:Wei~ And you'll be up for free hugs any time you want. I've got no extended arms but how about virtual hugs? Or those transmitted by teddy bears... No one can escape my hugs. :3 (Unless there's the threat of getting stabbed of course...)Amnestic said:I'm a bit wary of people who say they can hug across large bodies of water. Bloody extendo-arms...
Oh, and...the film looks like it'll suck. I'm totally on topic.
Actually, I think I prefer that one. It will still prove to be a waste of celluloid, but it has something solid to parody (Twilight, Van Helsing, etc.). These can be parodied with proper comedy, and there's a touch of proper comedy in "Transylmania". I rather liked the "It looked a little different on the brochure" bit, and their play on the old false-mirror gag. The fake mirror is an old joke [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUZ1hjn_9Ds], but ending it with "Wait a minute, I don't have a reflection..." is new, and entirely appropriate for a vampire comedy. In the end, Transylmania drops it all in favor of cheap titillation and shock-value gross-out comedy, which is a big black mark on it, but it had promise.RyVal said:Ha!
I see your The 40-Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It and raise you Transylmania [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGqYpl0DiWc].

I don't get the whole "OH DEAR GOD OH GOD WHY WONT IT DIE OH GOD IT WONT DIE OH GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE, SO MUCH FIRE, OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD IT'S ATTACKING THE BOAT" thing that everyone else is getting.
Ah, Airplane!MissAshley said:I can't bring myself to watch this trailer. I feel a little sadder now simply knowing this exists.
Whatever happened to good parodies, like Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Airplane!, or even the first Scary Movie? This seemingly unending onslaught of horrible parodies reminds me of the Dethcomedy episode of Metalocolypse. One scene features a guy performing a stand-up routine that's clearly meant to parody the "nostalgic movement" seen heavily in geek pop-culture nowadays.
The "______ Movies" and the like remind me of that guy, except instead of mentioning actual nostalgic properties like Snorks, they reference things which are barely a few months old (if that).
The worst film I've ever watched, by a wide margin, is Epic Movie. I watched it against my will and wow. . .I've never seen such a massive failure of a film as a comedy, a parody, and a "self-aware story" all at the same time.
What the hell?! That looks just as bad as the one in the OP.zeldakong64 said:I'm afraid I must inform you of another trailer released just today. Really? Really...
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Spanish Movie. The fuck?

This means that the "___ Movie"s are a disease and spreading to other countries! We all thought it would be zombies, little did we know it would be far worse.
