"So you should know what I can help you with. Assuming you really make an effort introducing us, of course."

Ben smiled slyly back "I'll wait until I've introduced you before I started asking for favors," he said "no sense in making demands if I can't deliver eh?"

With that he approached Varvara, grinning broadly and giving a slight wave to get her attention "Ms. Owens! It's been too long," he said in a friendly manner "how are things with you?"

He paused and glanced behind him at the target "Oh I'm sorry I should introduce my friend," he gestured at the target "Felicia meet Robert Dirk, Robert meet Felicia."

He was careful to put slight emphasis on Robert's name, to indicate that he was important, though someone like Robert would simply take it as recognizing his power as a politician Varvara would hopefully be reminded that he was one of their targets, though Ben doubted she had forgotten in the first place.

He paused to let the man say something for himself then continued "We were actually just talking about you, Robbie here has always been interested in the work you do at Ignite Solutions so I figured why not just introduce you two so he can ask you about it? Oh, I'm sorry," Ben checked his phone "I've got to take this call, if you need me I shouldn't be far though, have fun you two."

That said he clapped Robert on the shoulder in a friendly manner before walking out, pausing at Varvara to whisper (loud enough that Robert would hear) "he's a great guy, you two should have plenty to talk about."

His work finished for the moment he walked off to another corner of the room and pretending to talk on his phone quietly.

"Alright, I'm gonna start searching the rooms--work my way down the line." Said Renart.

"Right-o then. I'm heading for the Deluxe suite, I'll try to crack that particular nut." With the two of them working on the floor, they might get what they needed and be gone before there was more trouble. That guard would wake up and they had to be gone before he raised the alarm.

This wasn't a brief hiccup in the plan, it was a dangerous wobble. Renart was injured a little and they were no longer in control of the cameras. Obviously this made his plan of getting into the Deluxe suite harder without attracting attention. Richard continued down the corridor, keeping his head down to avoid clear identification by the cameras. The trick was to keep your head down but your eyes up to see where you were going, all the while fidgeting with your jacket, watch or phone. That last bit was crucial, otherwise you looked like one suspicious bastard. Thankfully the smartphone meant everyone had a reason to be looking down.

The Deluxe suite would have the most space in it, and therefore was at one edge on the sixth floor to provide the best views from the windows. Since there was nobody around, Richard decided it was time to break into the suite. He readied his own lockpicking set and got to work on the door. New advances in lockpicking technology meant even hotel keycard locks could be broken in time.

"...And that concludes the intro!" 'Felicia' beamed as she moved out of the spotlight and met up with a member of staff.

For once, Varvara could actually frown. Although, as the staff member told her about the bomb threat, the frown was but a little kink in her eyebrows' arcs. However, as soon as the not-so-subtle Simon stepped in, Varvara had to briefly rub her forehead. Keeping everyone in the room without alerting everyone to a fucking bomb threat, setting up a distraction... What next? Sure, the two could go hand in hand but that would require some quick improvisation. Well, being the centre of attention had never being easy...

"I've got to take this call, if you need me I shouldn't be far though, have fun you two."

Of course Ben had to put yet another problem into her plate. Robert Dirk? Wasn't that a name on the list on the documents they had been given as part of the assignment? Varvara had to stop herself from turning the smile into a smirk. 'Right move, wrong time.' The agent thought to herself. Well, no point delaying things any further. 'Felicia' assertively resentment a hand to shake to Robert, "Nice to meet ya, Mr. Dirk. It's always great to see people interested in Ignite Solutions. What--"

It was the phone, or rather a subtle slip of the fingers to that made it rang. 'Felicia' answered the non-existent call and hug up.

"Sorry 'bout that, but I gotta keep ya waitin' once more." She said as she turned away and addressed the group of people once more, "Apparently those noises we heard earlier were some bombs the hotel found lyin' around. Don't fret, the hotel chose to detonate 'em safely once they had found and neutralised 'em. Now, they want us to stay in here for a bit so their staff could see if there's any more in the rest of the rooms. Sit tight, ladies and gentlemen. Everythin' is being done to ensure your safety."

"Oh." 'Felicia' then added, "They've asked you all to turn your cell phones off, just in case."

Deception, keeping the people calm and deceive the guards into thinking that the stuff Varvara spouted is legit, +4 skill bonus applies.

Renart

Renart quickly put together a functional disguise, though it was somewhat flawed, lacking some details that was hard to spot on camera. However, it worked well enough to fool the guard in front of the camera, though, it might be a bit difficult to fool others. The room he found himself in was pleasant enough, an en-suite room with a nice view and costly furniture. It was clean and tidy, whatever he was looking for inside would be simple to find.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Richard

Richard wasn't as successful at hiding what he was doing, though he appeared suspicious rather than someone breaking in, resulting in that the guard being unsure of what to do, as no alarm was raised. In the meantime, Richard entered the luxure suite, whoever owned the room clearly wanted more than just a comfortable bed, as it had a separate living-room, as well as bookcases lining the rooms. At first glance, he noticed the suitcase with a name on it. Francis Leroux, a French politician on the top of their list.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Varvara

The rest of the people inside listened as Varvara spoke, not minding the pause in a rather dull speech made by an unimportant politician. At first, people were a bit sceptical, asking her why they couldn't leave and such, however, Varvara's confident words had managed to get most to agree, one of them being the politician behind her. Robert Dirk put a hand on her shoulder and supported her claims.

"I say the staff should be allowed to handle this one in peace," he said, not removing his hand. In his other hand was his suit-jacket, apparantly things have gotten a bit too hot for him. "After all, it's a troublesome situation we're dealing with." He smiled to Varvara. "Besides, you'll make sure we're well taken care of, right?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ben

Ben was left standing in the end of the room, though, he noticed that the politician he had been talking to before had taken off his jacket and was holding it. A vague bulge was standing out from the now visible inner pocket. Robert Dirk looked busy being utterly smitten by Varvara, though. One of the servers next to Ben offered him a glass of red-wine, either having realized that he hadn't been on the phone, or simply unaware of it. If it was the former, it was possible that the server was suspicious.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Purnima

As Purnima listened to what the different members were saying, she noticed that the Deluxe suite was not marked off as the room of one of their targets. However, some of the targets were fairly well off, so there was a decent chance it was worth a little check. She also noticed that it was part of the blue-print that looked off, almost as if it was connected to the hidden rooms.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simon

"Simon, if there are any more mysterious explosions or unexplained fires, they will have to shut the conference down. Varvara and Ben can only do so much damage control before the MP for Burrow-twixt-Soar or bloody wherever starts thinking that he's the target of some ridiculous assassination attempt and heads for the hills, taking all incriminating data with him, do you understand?"

"Yes, I do, but---"

"The infiltrators need more time to...infiltrate. We need to get some control over the guard teams. The biggest threat right now as far as I'm concerned is the guy in the security room. I don't care how you do it, but get him out or take him out."

Simon sighed, for once. Normally, he'd be all confident, calm and eager, say it would be fine. But now? Everything was a mess, and he couldn't even use the bombs. It wasn't his fault he'd been assigned somewhere else, heck, someone was looking for his guard identity, expecting him to be there. It wouldn't have been this difficult, but they'd lost the guy responsible for making more of a distraction, Lars, only a couple of days before the mission.

"Is it possible to knock out guard communications? The radio system? I'd imagine the hub for that would be in the security room with the cameras. Anyway, Simon - if everything else fails, I'll need you to sabotage the camera system entirely. If we can't have it, I don't want them to have it either."

"No. Well, yes, but..."

He glanced over at Varvara, as she told people to turn off their phones and to keep inside. Luckily, he was disguised as staff, and could thus leave easily.

"I'll try, okay? It'd be greatly appreciated if you would help me with the hacking, surely you know what to do better than me."

His tone was a little like that of a sore loser, though he quickly added, more cheerfully again;

"I mean, I'm terrible with computers, so any help would be good."

He was getting closer to the surveillance room again, and, as he walked closer, he readied the glove and his hand, he was ready to fire a dart as soon as he could.

Left to his devices, Renart began inspecting the closet. He was mindful of the man that rested in there so he didn't later wake up in more pain than he would. There was little to be had in the briefcases that were against the wall. Social schedules, pens and paper, all as neatly organized as the room itself. This was to be expected as anyone who had important information that needed to be secured would certainly prefer to squirrel things in the room's safe. What Renart most appreciated about any large hotel was that the safes were extraordinarily easy to access. With the sheer number of safes the building possessed, there was typically one universal key code in order to make things easier for maintenance staff to keep them in order. Fortunately for the agent, he'd already acquired the code and had opened the safe in a flash. Inside were various folders with spreadsheets full of invoices, statements, account numbers--information on which hands exchanged which sums of money. Valuable information for anyone who could put it to use, surely.

Your skills in organization are without a doubt a treasure, Mr. Baker, Renart thought with a smile. He stored the documents in one of the briefcases he confiscated from the closet and even decided to stash the rather luxurious Jaeger-LeCoultre watch that sat neatly in its box along with the paperwork. Considering the type of guests that stayed on this level, that find was surely the first of many. And though the briefcase could hardly pass as a technician's case, it would have to do.

"Damn call dropped," Ben said, closing his phone and putting it away, then accepting the glass of wine "Ah thank you."

"They've asked you all to turn your cell phones off, just in case."

Ben sighed and pretended to shut off the phone, closing it and putting it into his pocket. Others seemed to be doing the same though he doubted they wanted to given how connected politicians liked to be at any given moment. Disconnecting them should make this easier though, now what is my next objective...

Making another excuse Ben made his way into a restroom, checking the stalls to make sure they were vacant before contacting Purnima "The party is going pretty well at the moment," he said after entering a stall and closing the door "Is there anything else or can I get back to mingling?"

A label on a suitcase confirmed this was the room of Francis Leroux, he'd take that suitcase with him when he left. As for now, Richard was more concerned with the possibility of hidden rooms. If he could get what he needed here he could go to the lower floor and check that out. The sixth floor must be arousing suspicion by now and to linger too long could blow the entire mission. Richard didn't think a high profile target such as Leroux would ever leave anything valuable out in the open.

Richard approached the bookshelves, old classics sat alongside more modern fiction. The inevitable copy of the bible was also on the shelves, as was a copy of London A-Z and several tourist guides. Cliched, he knew but bookshelves were actually practical to cover for a secret room. Richard put on gloves so as not to leave fingerprints and began searching for secret rooms.

Simon

The man never saw the dart coming, Simon planted it expertly in his neck as he entered the room. The guard only had enough time to say "Bwuh?" and move a hand to where the dart had struck, already dazed by its effects, before Simon floored him. The combination of being punched and drugged was too much for the man and he slipped into unconsciousness leaving Simon in control of the booth for the moment.

Richard

While there seemed to be nothing like a hidden entrance there at first, Richard didn't give up. After a while, he finally found the trigger. It wasn't a book, or in the bookcase, it was a small lamp not far from the bookcase. He'd realized it when he saw that the lamp seemed oddly placed, out of the way of a place anyone who wanted to read would sit. However, as the book-shelf went into the wall and up, he found a hotel employee standing there, one who, for some reason, held a gun.

"Hello, Mr----" the man stopped, as he realized the one opening the bookcase was not the man they had planned to make a deal with.

Simon

As soon as he took out the guard, he contacted Purnima, as he dragged the passed out guard away. Luckily, he was still wearing gloves, so he didn't have to worry about fingerprints. The struggle to get the guy into a nearby closet -not as much that he was heavy as it was the fact that he didn't want to be placed in there- could be heard in his voice as he spoke.

"I've--I've taken care of the guard. And I'd rather not be here for long, it's... it's risky. I don't want to compromise another disguise. Besides, keeping watch is a waste of my talents, I should be out there, helping the others!"

The hidden door slid back to reveal an armed hotel employee who turned to Richard and began to address him before realising he wasn't supposed to be there. In a moment like this it was imperative to react first, there wasn't time to go for his gun, which Richard had placed back into his jacket.

Richard decided there was only one course of action, charge the man before he could react and take him down. He flung himself forwards, arms outstretched to grab the hotel employee. The man had seen his face, this was a situation where he had to die.
