The Apocalypse is here! What do you do on your last day?

Hold on, I'm still on Earth during the apocalypse? Clearly my plans are going off prematurely, falling through, or otherwise not going according to plan. Oh well. I think I'm going to just pour myself some juice, kick back, and relax. Get a nice book to read.

Maybe the bible; I'll start cross referencing the events with the book of Revelations.

Think of it this way...

It's the last Purge ever. All crime happening at the same time,Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes, the dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Essentially, all that would be happening...

Go to confession, do my penance, quietly lament not getting anything really substantive done with my life, then organize the biggest game of Calvinball I can manage in the remaining time. Cheap black cloth masks are on me; bring your own sense of crazy random fun and spontaneous rule declarations! My calling in life has always been games -- not playing them, necessarily, but trying to bring people joy through them. So why not go out doing what I love and am meant to do?

to be honest, if survival isnt an option - i dont know. id probably go out like that guy who welcomed nuclear strike on his roof blasting classic music and drinking wine. because fuck you apocalypse i do what i want.

its amazing how many people here would turn to organized religion though. If there isnt a god, whats the point, and if there is, you think a single "sorry" would get you to heaven?

Apocalypse? Ha I say, Ha!!

Ladies and Gentlemen of The Escapist I ask you this. Are we not gamers? Is this not what have we been training for all our lives? We have beaten aliens, biblical apocalypse's and mad men with their finger on the nuclear button so many times now that this should be over and done with within a day.

So I say we do not hide, we fight...FOR THIS IS OUR TIME!!!!!!!
