Manga has better art... if the art is actually any good. Someone already mentioned it, but Berserk has some of the best art you'll ever find in a manga. And no animation studio that didn't have a multi-million dollar budget could ever get close to putting that kind of detail on screen.

There's also the artistry of making still images come to life. Animation moves by definition, but having a still picture look alive and in motion is something to be enjoyed on it's own. Again, if you read Berserk you'll be treated to some of the most exciting and beautiful action scenes you've ever seen, despite looking at still images. The way Kentaro Miura draws fast motion is incredible.

I'm a huge fan of the One Piece manga but when I tried watching the anime I couldn't stand it. (And yes I watched the original, not the 4kids dub.)
I am the complete opposite of you, I love the One Piece anime but not a big fan of the manga. I love to read but for some reason I just can't enjoy reading manga.

It depends on the version/adaptation, and the talent involved. I loved the rayearth manga, but the anime, whilst mostly ok to above average, did some things to the story and characters that just did not sit well with me. (no, I didn't mind Hikaru getting a greater focus, I did mind the way they did so by making umi and fuu dumb, cowardly or weak all the damn time)

On the other hand, I find the extra detail put into the anime version of Black Lagoon to make the anime feel more in depth and stronger than the manga.

I enjoy both mediums, and it all depends on how an adaptation does what it does to which version I prefer.

My problem with the anime is how slow paced it is to me. I mean it's like they really have a hard time getting to the point. Like there are instances where it takes several minutes to explain something where in the manga it only took like a page. But whatever it might just be because I read really fast or something.

I disagree, a lot is left for imagination with manga, besides colour (usually) and audio. While maybe comparatively much, the format manga is in can't fully display stuff the way anime can.
