And now something I thought off when I should have been brainstorming for my Essay
Lights out, bare skin on the tile
Solitude and quite, alone with a file
A bottle of whiskey, shaking hands grip the glass
Shallow sobs and regret emit from this lass
Alone, her loved ones lost
Taken by the men she had crossed
Life as the law has its gains and its pain
Now she feels the latter as hears the rasp of the rain
She thinks of husband and son
Brought to an end by the gun
Co-workers share sympathies
Two graves alone with the trees
Carry on the great banner
The badge that remains on her
Respect that vanished will come back in whole
As her anger burst forth to carry her from this hole
