Three teens were home, alone. They sat on the couch watching TV. The tallest one speaks first. "I'm bored. Got any games, Ralph?" The one on the far left answers. "Yeah, I got a few board games in the cellar." The girl, in the middle, turned nervous. "Umm... In the cellar? I'll pass on that, you uys can pick a game and i'll be fine with it." The taller one began to speak again. "Alright Stacy, you don't have to go. Me and Ralph will." The girl sighed. "Thanks Vick, i'll just wait up here then." The two boys went down the stairs. Each step down was colder and colder than the last. "Jeez Ralph, does your thermostat reach down here?" "Uh... It should. I've only ever been down here 3 times and it was never this cold..." They reached the cellar and flicked on the switch, the dull bulb barely lit the room. The small cellar was incredibly cluttered. "Where do you keep the games, Ralph?" "Uh... Over here." Ralph walked over to a small shelf. "Scrabble, Sorry, Jenga? These all sound kinda boring..." Then, Ralph looked lower. There was one small, black box that had, what appeared to be, a printed on blood stain across the front. The name was in weird reddish-black writing that looked crusted on. "Vanish..." Ralph turned the box over, there was nothing more. "That looks good, let's play it." Ralph nodded. Thhey took the game back upstairs. "Dude, Ralph, did your thermostat break while we went down there? It hasn't gotten any warmer..." "I don't know... Maybe it's just the cold sticking to us or something."
They both came up and set the game down in front of the girl. She jumped back a little. "Vanish?... Umm... I don't know..." The taller boy pushed her lightly on the shoulder. "C'mon, you're just being a wuss." "I am not... I just, don't know..." "Alright then, me and Ralph will just play without you..." "Fine! Fine! Ok... I'll play." They brought it to the kitchen table, set it down and sat down. The taller boy opened the box. Immediatly, they all felt extremly cold. Their teeth chattered. The shorter boy reached for the instructions sheet. He opened it. There was just one sentence. "Shut the box and go." The girl was scared, but she tried to suck it up. They took out the board. It was just a black box with white blocks that lead to a slightly larger white block that read, "Free", and a small stack of cards that was supposed to go in the middle. They picked up their game pieces, there were only three. They were all humans, but they were made of metal and incredibly detailed, all with looks of exasperatted horror on their faces. They all looked to be in their teens. "Umm... This game looks... weird..." The girl said. he shorter boy picked up two dice. They were dirtied yellow-brown and had red streaks on them. "Ummm... Ok. Roll to see who goes first..." A deep voice whispered in all their ears. "
" They all froze up. The larest boy spoke. "Umm... It was just the wind..." The girl got up. "Screw this! I'm not playing this game!" She stared for the living room. The same voice spoke in her ear, only with more malice. "
" And she was slightly pushed back towards the boys. She sat down quickly. "I'll just go first." The shorter boy said. He rolled a 6 and moved his selected piece six blocks. Instinctively, he drew a card. "...Doors... What does that mean?" A few seconds after he said that, all the doors in the kitchen shut and locked themselves from the outside. The girl ran to one and tried to turn the knob, but it wouldn't budge. "DID YOU ALL JUST SEE THAT?!" She cried. The boys just nodded, frozen in fear. "M-Maybe they'll open up when we win the game..." The smaller boy said. He handed the die to the larger boy. He rolled a 4. He drew his card slowly. "...Look outside..." They all froze, dead in fear. Slowly, all at once, they turned their heads to look out the windows. Outside, there were ghostly, white-transparent ffigures with empty expreccions on their face, wandering around like zombies. The girl screamed loudly. "SHUT THE BLINDS! SHUT THE BLINDS!!!" One spirit outside seemed to notice and started walking towards the window. Immediatly, the shorter boy leapt up and shut the window it was walking to, then the other. The girl was crying and hugging her knees now. "I don't wanna play anymore! Please, don't make me play!" The voice whispered in her ear. "

" The voice frightened her to death and she immediatly ot back into her chair and took the die. She rolled a 5. She cried and lowly reachd for another card. She cried even more when she read it aloud. "G-Guard..." She closed her eyes. In the corner of the room, a little girl showed up. She was pale white, and her head hung down as she stood there. Her long, tangled, black hair covered her face. Stacy didn't look at her. "I don't wanna see it..." She cried. The little girl's head slightly moved a little and she made a whimpering sound. Ralph quickly snatched the die away from Stacy and rolled. He rolled a three. He took his card. "...Don't look away now." The words struck fear into all of them and their eyes remained fixated on the game. Vick took the die and rolled. He rolled a five. He took his card. "...First one to draw their blood... Wha-... What does this mean?" Stacy cried. "I-I don't know... Just give me the dice..." As Vick moved his hand to give Stacy the dice, the little girl in the corner screamed loudly and horribly. He quickly removed his hand. "What are we supposed to do?!" He cried. Ralph quickly took the dice and rubbed it fast against the end of his finger, tearing the skin away. "RALPH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "Obeying..." He said, darkly. He didn't stop until blood was running down his fingertip. His piece moved itself one space ahead. He handed Stacy the dice. "I want it to stop... Please stop..." She rolled the dice and ot a 6. She took the card and didn't even look at it, she just remained in the fetal pposition on the chair and showed it to the boys. "Feed..." Ralph read. The two boys looked at each other and Stacy screamed loudly. The small girl in the corner had bitten her left thumb off. "I DON'T WANNA PLAY ANYMORE!!! PLEASE LET ME LEAVE!" She said, looking down at the game board. Ralph took his die from her. "We'll leave once it's over..." He rolled and got a 5. He picked up his card. "Move one space..." They all exhaled in relief. Ralph moved ahead. Vick rolled and got a 3. He picked up and read his card, "...The end will bring freedom..." He took it as a sign that they were going to leave, and Stacy and him smiled. Ralph remained silent. Stacy rolled her turn and got a 6. She slowly moved her piece all the way to the last spot the read "Free..." She smiled. She tried to get up, but the girl in the corner simply whaled at her. She sat back down. "Wh-What?! I won!" She bawled heavily. The voice whispered in her ear, sounding eager. "
" She cried and shikily picked up her card. "...At...Last..." She read. Suddenly, the room became filled with eerie, girlish, child-like giggling. It echoed itself loudly and only became louder in pitch. Stacy screamed loudly and then Vick and Ralph screamed...
Hours later, the police arrived at the house due to a noise complaint from the neighbors. The house was completly taped off and the police wre inside invesigating. Most of them were in the kitchen, examining a small pool of blood on the floor near one of the chairs. Two of the officers were examining a box that had, in words that were a fresh red color "Vanish". They opened the box and set the game board down and pulled out three pieces... They compared them to the photographs of the three teens that went missing... They matched them exactly, but the game pieces were metal, cold and all three had looks of absolute terror on their faces...
