Indeed they are, subject Sas. Claymores are just so slow in other kind of RPGs then in Final Fantasy.

Yeah, I haven't got the patience in other RPGs to swing it, subject Lambi.
I want them to die now, not later!

Plus, you can't wield a shield while holding a claymore since it's a two-hand weapon, subject Sas. Which is the same reason I don't like giant hammers in RPGs...
Maces, I just look at them as swords with no edge. Sure, they might be fun to beat someone with, but I like to slice my enemies, not bonk them on the head.

Subject Sas, the only time I ever used a claymore was in FF XII(yes I actually like that one).

Perhaps we are, subject Sas. Some people like maces, some like claymores, others like swords. That's just the way it is.
And XII isn't really that bad. It's better then VIII, at least.

Subject Lambi, did you ever beat Ff XII? I know many people didn't like it, but I did because it dealt more with politics and crap, and I love politics.

Subject Max, of course I did. But I didn't really care about the politics in it. I played through it, thinking "Oh boy! A Final Fantasy game! Must...kill...monsters!" or something along those lines.

Also, it has Fran. Anyone who has played FF XII knows what I mean.

Subject Lambi, yeah but out of all the Final Fantasies that one had to be one of the most difficult what with it's bullshit monsters with giant health bars like that last hunt!
