Subject Toast, either go to Animefreak [http://www.animefreak.tv/] or AnimeCrazy [http://www.animecrazy.net/], they both have a good ammount of anime and work pretty well, and you could even try searching Youtube for some stuff, theres a bit of some of the lesser known anime on there.

It's not whatever it is your thinking, it's kind of hard to explain exactly what it is exactly to i'll just tell you that it's a mecha.
The Big O is a giant robot that the protagonist pilots.

Subject PR, some other ones that are pretty good are, *inhale* Soul Eater, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Hellsing Ultimate (the OVA, not the anime, the OVAs much better), Afro Samurai, Afro Samurai Resurrection, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Line Barrels of Iron, Rozen Maiden, Lucky star, Ouran High School Host Club, Spice and Wolf, Bakemonogatari, K-ON!, Kanokon.... i could go on, but i'll stop there.
