Subject Dis try something farther south, like iqualit.
It is by most all standards a small town, the people can be pretty rough but that's the arctic.

A few dead dogs if I go way up north? Or down south, cause If I'm ggoing south, it's gonna be Vancouver, or Montreal. And if it's north, Cambridge Bay, or Alert.

Iqualuit is a very cold arctic town as well, you will see soem dead dogs there too probably.
Vancouver is kinda big when you consider all of the metroVancouver area's (search it up on wikipedia) and there is some bad parts of town you probably wont enjoy.
I hear Toronto is fun though
