I've been hovering over that topic myself, subject Max and all the advice I've seen is what I would say.
Although, I still have most of the original team, I think. Just got a new striker and Goalie.

Subject Sass, I still have all the original team signed on. Keepa is still my goalie and he is really good. I actually managed to win the first Blitzball match in the game too.
Also, I just checked the entire new list of the new Pokemon and this is what I'll say:

Subject Max, for the love of God, get the Jecht Shot 2 and KEEP. KEEPA.

Subject Max, the only thing I hate is the lack of previous gen Pokemon...which means no trading over....

Subject Sass, I think that may be the only way to win. Also, Brother knows Sphere Shot on my team.
Also, you need to see what they are if you haven't. Now I get it's a kinda re-birth for them so they want people to look at it from that angle, but these new ones are so overly complex. The have a flying Sarcophagus with ghost hands around it as a Pokemon! XD

Subject Mudkip, I do have it. My team is very high leveled and I kept Keepa. But at the same time I haven't played X in over a year.
As for the Pokemon thing, they'll put in the national dex because they always have.

I think so too, subject Max. The Goers are just so fucking over-powered at that point.
And is it the article at the top of that little latest content thingy?

Subject Sass, the Goers for me are so overpowered too. Once I got Wakka's special I did the Blitzball games for Friend Spheres and took everyone over to Auron's first. He has the most power.
Also, here is the list of all the new ones, note that one of them is a Flying Ice cream cone! XD

Subject Max, I know, but I don't feel like beating another game just to continue my mission. I don't think it's fair to say they're overdesigned, I mean, look at some of the fan favorites! And some of the simpler designed ones are crap, and look terrible.

Subject Sas, I once got lucky enough to get a good player from the Psyches. To this day, they are a pest.
