the awkward moment when everyone targets you

So I was on tf2 and joined an idling sever, some guys were building stuff but most were suiciding. I took the initiative to kill them, start a match and then they all start targetting me!
In hindsite I was the only one trying to fight blu, so it does make sence. Fun though

Do people gang up on you during games?

No, because I rarely ever face coherent and unified threats when playing a game online. Besides, I try not to give my opponents either chance or reason to target me.

In Halo multiplayer, usually. You target the guys with the big guns that you'd rather have. If I have a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher on higher ground and a small spree going, people will naturally come after me.

A multiple player game of Magic. Whoever has a great hand/gets off to a good start on their strategies is going to get hammered by multiple people. I've had it happen to me. It ain't fun when you are the target. But when you are watching, seeing a player get hit with a Path to Exile and a Go for the Throat on turn 2 or 3 is just hilarious.

It happened once on League of Legends when I was playing PvP as Veigar. They would ignore everything else to try and target me. It was quite funny really.

On TF2, of course. Usually when i have a heavy/ medic combo going. Thats shits dangerous so it makes sense XD

Also on gmaes where you have a powerful weapon others tend to target you, even your own team sometimes!

Yeah, by the time you realized that 2 tanks, one helicopter and 5 other guys are rushing inside the house you've been in, killing all their troops in BF3, you know you've done something right.

Also, during a battle in EVE, when the enemy takes you and calls you their primary target... Fun times

Happens anytime i knife some kid on BF3. They'll be so hellbent for revenge that their stats go down the gutter.

Oh, Galactic Civilizations II. Always making every civilization declare war on each other, and then have them target me for no apparent reason. Oh, wait, they think I'm evil? Well, I haven't done anything to them... Krog'nth! Did you cover up our Slave Canyon's? --- WHAT?!?!?! You didn't do anything to keep the other civilizations from finding out about our Death Furnaces(TM)!?!?!? You fucking yer'agth'a! Dammit, contact the Yor. I have a habit of doing things that make me a big glowing target for everyone to shoot for, literally. I have had Paradise games were, out of boredom and hate for the car, I would prowl around and take out everyone driving in a Nighthawk GT. Some time later I wold have 4-6 people after me. I have played Red Faction Guerrilla matches were I would own the battlefield and at the end of the match have both friend and foe gunning for me to kill my streak. So yeah, this isn't so much an awkward moment for me, it is more like an enjoyable feeling knowing that so many people want me dead just for being better than them.

There I was, merilly lascannoning away at a capture point in Space Marine, taking down all the opposing team when I suddenly have 5 assualt marines charging for me, my reaction "well funs over..."

I hate getting ganged up on as a Spy. One of the weakest classes, with one of the lowest amount of weapons, with the weakest melee weapon of the game, and everyone will abandon killing the Heavy, the Medic, the Pyro, the Soldier, the Demoknight that rapes them sideways, the Sentry gun, and the annoying Scout just to kill YOU and only YOU.

It mostly happens in L4D when I'm playing the survivors in VS. Then I generally get grabbed by a smoker/hunter/jockey, get spit on by a spitter and get puked on by a boomer all at the same time, and then of course when its my turn to play the infected I can't hold the survivors down for more than a fraction of a second before they shoot me dead. Yeah, I don't really enjoy playing L4D online.

Has happened to me before...In Rainbow Six Vegas the entire enemy team focused solely on me.

It worked out pretty well for me, because even though I'd die, I'd usually take three of them with me.

Back when I used to play TF2 I always played Medic. Needless to say I was a priority target.

Yeah, BF3 when flying a jet, not too rarely either. If I'm focused and it's going well for me, the enemy team starts realising what a threat I am. I've had several situations where suddenly both their jets and the assault heli start going after me and/or I often notice a big increase in the number of ground troops carrying/shooting Javelins/IGLA/Stinger missiles at me.

Games when it's going good and the opponents start realizing that I am actually a credible threat, they tend to just target me as soon as they see me. In some games, that tactic just completely knocks off my flow and any chance of me continuing to go as strong as I was earlier, but the upside is that if my teammates are even remotely good they have an amazing chance to just pick off distracted opponents. In games such as TF2, however, it doesn't matter what they throw at me when I have flow (also known as luck) because they just end up dying anyways.
