Recently, I did a post talking about my taste. It turns out I have some horrible taste. So instead of going on a pity party, I'm going to do something else. I'm going to celebrate my horrible taste, and I want you guys to join with me. Name some horrible games, that you would defend until the day you die. I'm sure we all have one or two horrible games that we love.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Sonic Superstar Tennis
Aliens vs Predator
and this one's always fun
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for the Bikini Bottom

Shadow the Hedgehog
Spyro: A Hero's Tail

Alright that's really how far nostalgia can take me. Shadow the a Hedgehog, I always watch the cutscenes. They're so bad. Not to mention he 2919392 different endings. Jesus.
Spyro? Actually, I don't understand why people hate this game. I've played a bit of the originals, and this one is just as fun.

Hmm well currently, conception 2

Of the last 3 JRP grindfests this one is outright bashed as the worst over Mind Zero and Demon Gaze but I'd outright say it's the damn strongest of the 3.

I get classmating is weird but I spent some quality naked time with a elf and watched an dead looking girl walk around in her panties all day in Demon gaze and feel like banging my head every time Leo opens his mouth in mind zero and why do you spend the first half of the game wondering what minds are and no one has the common sense to just turn around and ask their mind what the heck they are!

Conception hands down has the most customization of all of them with making 3 groups of 3 star children with like 20 classes for each one to accompany you and your selected out of 7 heroines with clear elemental alignments and with what you equip your star children with effects their elemental alignment means out of the 3 games, you can actually employ a strategy! IF your having trouble in the other two games, Grind some levels, oh you want to get a new party member in demon gaze have fun leveling them up Painfully slowly from level 1 to the point you should have of just stuck with the other character you had with you already. With conception star children level up pretty fast and it's easy to keep them balanced the way their level is capped to how strong you and the heroine you make them letting you constantly change up and not be gimped in doing so.

And omg Conception is the only one I'd consider to actually have a difficulty, Mind zero you can save anywhere, Demon gaze you can save at any portal you beat which is basically your never over 20 steps from one and both put a big damn caution sign if your going to fight anything that even remotely resembles a boss so you know it's coming and if you didn't save it's your own fault. after you saved whats the worse that will happen, you'll waste 2 minutes? In conception you actually have to leave the dungeon to save, and while it's not that hard to get back into it since you leave by going to the stairs, and can come back in at any floor but hey random generated floors and traps means there is actually a risk!

Quest 64. Being basically one of the few RPGs on N64 I did enjoy it. Even though the game had more than its fair share of flaws I was able to look past that and have a good time with it. I found it quite charming.

Sonic 3D Blast/Flickie's Island, the Genesis version specifically. I was too young to realize it was Sega's quick attempt to get a Sonic game out by 1996, after executive meddling screwed over the team making Sonic Extreme for the Saturn. Since it was so simple compared to that grand project, Sega also made a Mega Drive/Genesis port to cover the sunk costs of all their fuck ups of the early to mid-90s(the Sega CD says hai). The result was a game that is generally not liked by most and gets scathing remarks from some critics.

It's definitely not a true Sonic game. But it was what I had before the Playstation and is a decent but not breathtaking game. Looking back, though, it did show signs Sega was loosing their chops and wanted a Sonic made no matter what, despite shortly before not wanting him in Knuckle's Chaotix for fear that game might hurt the Sonic reputation.

For Shadow the Hedgehog, you're thinking of the ways to get to the endings, as there are only 10 endings and then the actual canon "Last Story". There are many ways to get to those 10 non-canon endings, but they are always the same 10 endings no matter what.

As for Spyro: A Hero's Tail, a lot of people didn't try it, heck I've actually recently started it myself. One thing I will say is that from a gameplay perspective, as well as a graphical one, the game is excellent. The dialogue and voice acting is actually quite bad, with the only 3 that are actually good being Money Bags, Sgt. Byrd, and the Professor. It's definitely better than Enter the Dragonfly which is probably the worst Spyro game in the entire franchise. I can play that game, and get Spyro's model to freeze in the air, which makes him lose his hit box, as well as get him to t-stance...

OT: Well I've been recording games for my Summer of Shit block and I will say that I'm surprisingly enjoying Aliens: Colonial Marines. Funny thing is, I added that game to the list because of an embarrassing failure I did in Sonic Heroes, died on Egg Fleet with Team Rose, as a means to punish myself. Of course the fun I have is instantly negated by the fact that I still have to do Sonic Genesis on the Gameboy Advanced...

Can I be really honest for a second...
I watched Aliens: Colonial Marines as a no commentary walkthrough, and I was loving the story. Until Hicks showed up. Then things went to shit REALLY quickly. Otherwise, I enjoyed it absurdly badly written schlock. But yeah, that's just me.

SimCity (yes, the new one). I mean, after they patched out the always-online requirement and fixed a lot of the really annoying bugs, it's actually quite enjoyable. It has finally got to the point it was supposed to be from the beginning: an improved version of Sim City 4. The regions work together much better, which really helps me overlook the relatively small individual city plots (if anything, the small city plots force me to expand to other cities rather than endlessly optimizing my one city, which helps the game stay more interesting). And now with the Cities of the Future expansion, it's really starting to shine. Hell, I even like that tilt-shift camera thing.

Warning: do NOT read on if you are not ready to stare the ABYSS OF GAMING in the face

That out of the way, I enjoy me a brief session of Mindjack (yes, that one) every once in a while. I have by no means finished it, but I enjoy it for its brief intense levels and the co-op/invasions are fun. I do not believe there is a lower rated game on the planet :)

I always really enjoyed Too human even though it was generally considered really bad. I loved the theme and most of the ideas in the game and even enjoyed the combat early on though I will readily admit the middle of the game is complete **** and the ice forest(Or whatever it was) is easily the worst part of the entire game. I still couldn't help but enjoy it though, I just wish it had some improvement to make it even better.

I also really enjoyed AvP(The more recent one). I never played the earlier ones and after hearing what was removed I can see why fans were disappointed. I still enjoyed it myself though, the multiplayer was so much fun to play.

Van Helsing. A movie tie-in adaption. It's a Devil May Cry knock-off more or less. I still had fun playing it, enough so to do multiple playthroughs and get the bonus weapons/upgrades.

Lair, don't get me wrong, I know that the games is flawed in all aspects, even the story is lame. But I find myself riding that dragon every now and then, just because.

Darkened Skye for the Gamecube

It was a Skittles ad. It had weird graphics and horrible gameplay. I don't even know why I played it in the first place, but I loved that game. It's humor (at least from my memories) was so tongue in cheek. The game knew what it was and tried to have fun with it.
