Depends on the metal behind the glass. So usually a metallic gray.
Banned because... but mirrors in the end do reflect all colors... And a combination of all colors is apparently white, so wouldn't that make them white?
Nope.
Here's another... Can't it be that they are in some way similar to infrared and ultraviolet, but instead of being outside of our visible spectrum, copy whatever bandwidth it receives?
I'm not a physicist, but I think I can safely say that light doesn't work that way.
Well, I know nothing of the construction of a mirror...
But I'd say they're a perfect kind of white that reflects all colors.
So now I've gotta find a perfect kind of black that reflects absolutely no colors.
So I'll need a material that converts all light that falls onto it into heat or something...
A mirror is a plate of glass backed by a metal, either silver or aluminum. And physics isn't subjective. It's not a "perfect white." Theb est answer I can think of has to do with changing the energy levels of the electrons present in the metal from the lightwaves of the reflected objects. I don't know how mirrors actually work, and it's been a while since I took chemistry, but I'm pretty sure that that's how they actually work.
Well, it's just that I've never seen a mirror, silver or aluminium while it's not reflecting anything...
