Banned because Lesbos Island is an island in Greece that was known for a group of girl lovers. And so, to this day, anyone from Lesbos is known as a homosexual female (though on second thought the "homo" part of the word "homosexual" refers to man, so that doesn't seem right either).

@Stukov: I appreciate the analysis of my asthetics, inspite of your ignorance of the matter.

Actually, you're wrong there...

The "Homo" in homosexual means "same" not "man".

"Homo" is also a prefix meaning "the same".
