But you're perfect.
Ah but perfection speaks volumes about a person no? I still think, you'll find someone with similar interests.

Maybe even here. It's quite possible.

Did you smoke much?
Nothing whatsoever. I didn't even drink alcohol while I was abroad. The reason being it was a

It was a 10 day trip and we were to spend our last day in Amsterdam. This picture was the first glimpse of the city, shot through the bus window. Beyond that construction was the Atlantic. We ended up parking near a grand central station that was under construction. As it was a package tour, we went through the normal sight-seeing of the city. We crossed over canals, saw famous statues and fountains, the whole shibang. (I don't have any pictures of the canals that aren't vertical shots so I didn't want to post them here)

Anyway, after a few hours of this we were given three hours to roam the city from a central square (Our tour did pass through the redlight district but we were banned from going back through there. Also no pictures as they would come out and attack you if you did that.) and I went off with a small group of friends. As time went on it came down to just three of us.

We visited a number of shops along the way. I picked up a lighter as a souvenir. So yeah, that's me a year ago.

The roads got much tighter and more snakelike as we explored, without a map and took a number of pictures. After a certain point it became clear that we had strayed from the beaten track for tourists. So these are the last two pictures I took before I put the camera away for quite some time:

The Dutch make a compact car!

This was one of the last little shops we encountered before the roads turned just into apartments towering above us.

So we ended up in this flea-market set up in a town square setting. Everything was dirt cheap and soon my friends decided to split up through the throng to rendezvous in ten minutes at a certain stand.

I ended up at some less popular tents selling crap. One sourly tempted me with a tiny trumpet that was dirt cheap before I examined it closely and saw it had been only lightly welded together. Anyway, just exploring this flea market and I realized something really messed up. My watch was missing and I hadn't even noticed. My best guess is someone nicked it off of me when I was deep in the crowd. The few Euro's I had in my pocket were gone too. I was smart enough to wear a moneybelt but one of my friends wasn't. I kept a tight grip on my camera in its bag. My friend lost his Sony SLR and was in deep trouble with his folks over it.

Anyway, not knowing what time it was I tried tracking them all down when I stumbled upon a fight. There were these two guys, looked like they were drugged up and shit and they were swinging whatever they could pick up at each other. I left the scene as I had no plan on being near there when the street cops strolled by. Rendezvoused with my friends. My other friend, who had no camera, only lost his wallet and what little money he had left at that point in the tour. We went back to the tourist friendly part of the city.

So yeah, tourists be cautious. Go off the beaten track and you could run into worse. Johnny, our tour guide from Manchester, told us that a few years ago someone in his tour group had gotten lost and had been stabbed during a mugging in Amsterdam. If you look like a tourist and smell like a tourist you've got money like a tourist.

I'm glad I didn't lose my camera. Other than that, no incidents to report of during the entire trip. I suppose it could have been much worse had we walked through parks during the evening-night though.
