So I keep finding myself fascinated by the sites .gif when someone is permabanned. What is that clip from? Because the way the .gif is done I just keep watching what seems like a dynamite *****-slap (as best as i can tell through the faded filter), of a kid in a hospital bed...twice. xD

I suppose we can extend the questions further. Whose idea was it to use that specific scene? Was there anything else used for permabans before it? Not sure if there are other questions for this, but those two seem relevant too.

Does that GIF actually become their avatar/profile picture when someone is permabanned? I've seen it a few times but I always assumed that it was just a funny GIF that poster decided to use.

I've only ever seen it on people who have been permabanned, and it only shows up after they've been banned, so it seems that the site actually replaces their avatar when they do this banning.

Now, I'm sure someone could probably find the gif itself and make it their own avatar if they wanted to, but I've only ever seen it in a banning situation.

It was one of the Tech Team who decided to use it. I won't name which one though, for their privacy.

I think the Bieber may have been used one or twice, but it's been around as long as I can remember.

It does, but you can still see their old avatar by going to their profile.
If I recall correctly, users who had premium accounts do not get the permabanned GIF after a banning, though pub club users getting banned is rare.
