Oh God damn it, Dark Angels?! Really?! And Deathwing at that?!

Look on the bright side, at least it's not the Ultrasmurfs again.

Although for me it would be Space Wolves, Blood Angels or Grey Knights by preference, a Grey Knights FPS would be cool since then there's essentially no limit to what you can face and still be in keeping with Space Marine abilities.

The video aspect of the trailer looked nice but I had to mute it because my god was that song awful. It could have been cheesy rock. It could have been orchestral. But why did it have to be... that?

Or maybe that is the Imperium's greatest weapon against the xeno scum. Terrible, unfitting music.

The music wasn't the best, but I actually really liked when it went to the western bit at the end. That was cool. Trailers need more style. Don't let trailer style become stagnant!!

I guess most people here didn't like the Gears of War trailers either. Those trailers were the best.

I don't get the complaints. The music was alright, and as for the trailer. Well it was alright too. I am stoked that there is an action game coming out with Tyranids! Can't wait to see some actual gameplay.

I love me some Deathwing, but a Ravenwing game would be so much cooler.

There are a few of GW's other table top games made; Mordenheim, Warhammer Quest and Blood Bowl. I'd like to see one based on Necromunda.

Not too excited for the new Space Hulk myself, looks like the normal Space Hulk but with different skins mostly.

Aren't the Marines their biggest seller? That's probably why. I'd prefer Imperial Guard as an imperial army though I'm a Dark Eldar player myself.

I don't know. But I would rather wreck faces as a tyranid, or a necron, or an eldar/dark eldar, or skaven, or even the chaos space marines. I mean they have been overdone at this point I think, give a different race the spotlight. They just remind me of the ridiculous amount of shooters out today. Atleast with chaos we could transform into a daemon or some crazy shit like that.

Or maybe it is because the games just haven't been very good. Probably that.

There was that Fire Warrior game where you played a Tau. And Dawn of War, of course, but I don't really count that because you're not playing as one person but an army. And while I'd love a game where you played a Dark Eldar, I don't think there exists any place that would release such a depraved game.

Listen I just want more 40k games. I haven't been able to play Space Marine since my PS3 died, and my laptop can't handle Dawn of War 2. Fortunately my kindle can still handle Dan Abnett books. So what if it's just a cinematic trailer? I just want to play. However, my excitement level is still pretty low, and will remain so for the time being.

And yes, going back to the Marines over and over again is just plain lazy. I'd love to see the setting explored from other perspectives or even from chapters that are less boring (complain all you want about the Dark Angels, but at least they're not the Ultra Marines). Hell the first few Space Wolf books would make a great series of games.

I'm rambling, but I'm excited to see more 40k games now that THQ is gone.

Yeah, Warhammer games are niche as is, maximising their appeal by using the most popular aspect of it is the business they want to do. It would be nice to get a game with different races and settings, but I think they'll keep coming back for a while.

I liked this trailer.

It's nice to see the Marines being depicted a bit more fluidly, as well as Terminator armour not just being "Slow and Purposeful, Clunky as Your Mum" but more able to actually swing at Initiative 4, and that the Genestealers look suitably awesome.

Hell, my girlfriend doesn't like 40k and even she thinks this looks good.

But then, I'm one of those people who doesn't hate everything that happened since 3rd Edition.
