I don't actually own many books (right around 6), and most of those are either reference books or giant books on mythology, so really I'd have to say the collection of Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984.

All ten volumes of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. It's a graphic novel, but it's still the greatest thing ever written.

Or perhaps.

Wish that was the cover of my copy of the latter though, damn that's good.

Entire Wheel of Time series...
Pretty much this.

I don't have the ENTIRE Wheel of Time series, (1-7 and 9. I couldn't find 8 anywhere) but the ones that I've already read (1-5. I'm almost finished 5) are really good.

Hrmmm, my 'best' book could be my signed, first edition hardback copy of Infernal Devices by Phillip Reeve... or maybe my favourite book which could be one of Ender's Game or Speaker For The Dead... or maybe even a book like East of Eden or Catcher In The Rye just for their classic value.

Yeah they are great books, very complex with alot of deep characters. I can't wait for the next book to come out from the new author, he did a great job on #12.

I can't quite say I have a favourite given that I've read a lot of books . . . but from pure nostalgia I'd probably say Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I love character development and it just so happens This and the third book had gave me everything I'd want in a book, kiddish. The third one gave me Werewolves (Which make me automatically love a book) Lycanthropes (Which makes me love a book even more!)and the best god damned defense against the dark arts teacher besides Severus. The sixth is my favourite book *even with an Emo harry potter* due to it's emphasis on Snape.

Besides that I guess I'll throw in Mattimeo simply because it has Slagar.

Yeah, I know I picked kids books and I don't care.

Mmnf, don't make me choose!

Right now, I'd have to go with the Trigun Fan Guide pt 2 for BESM (it's basically a guide to running a tabletop RPG in the Trigun world, including stats and information for canon characters).

If that doesn't count, then either my copy of the unabridged The Stand, by Stephen King, or Wicked, by Gregory Maguire.

It's terrible that Robert Jordan died. I'm sure that book 12 would be different if he would've wrote.

I'm not saying that book 12 is bad. I haven't really heard much about it, but I'm sure it's still good. I'm just saying that it probably would've been...different if Robert Jordan wrote it...
[sub]Not sure how to explain, but I hope you understand what I mean[/sub]

If we are going on the actual book, my signed copy of 'Lord of Light' by R Zelazny; or my special ed, signed copy of 'Nation' T. Pratchett; or my signed copy of 'Asterix and the Secret Weapon'.
If we are going by the contents: Magician, R.E. Feist.

Just getting to this point was great but the final book blew the others away.

Damn it. Its Dark Tower Vol 7: The Dark Tower
There was definitely a certain amount of away-blowing in that one. It was a little bit awesome.

American Gods is probably my best book I own though. I couldn't tell you why, either. It's just kind of stuck with me.

It has to be: The Malazan book of the fallen series
Every reread still amazes me, forcing me to pick new favorite volumes among the series.
Damnit now I might have to go read them again :)
