Agreed. Because according to the historians at EA the British didn't participate in WWII.
Play COD 3, you run around as an English guy most of the game.
But...but... EA has certified historian/producers.
Name an EA historic game which doesn't star Captain America. In fact name an EA game which doesn't star Captain America. They may have historians, but they only really care for American history it seems, not the rest of the world.
Um...um...um...

...

They made Medal of Honor Frontline.

You realize companies like Blizzard and Valve are American right? I'm actually not a huge fan of either one of them, but they certainly don't fall under the stereotype you just laid out.
Blizzard, who?

Valve fair enough, but that's like a golden needle in a haystack.

You get enough people you are eventually going to get something good from one, but in terms of excellence to number ratio Japan wins hands down.

In all fairness, he did have an Irish accent...... And an attraction to bullets...

All the CoD games have a British faction up until WaW I belive

You do know what an opinion is right? The last game I enjoyed from a Japanese developer was MGS4, before that it was MGS3, notice the pattern? The vast majority of my games collection is by western developers, most of them American. That means that your opinion doesn't hold true concerning many other people's taste in games.

In Japan they skip the first part and its with a little girl...
1. Agreed with the getting the girl part, that annoys me.

2. Its always a 16-17 year old getting a 16-17 year old, where does the little girl aspect come into it?

Japanese games are just better in every way possible.

*Sigh* We can argue that until the end of time.
I overstated, Japan make much better games then most developers, they are the best developers at the moment.

In the UK its very VERY good it terms of creativity but it's crap when it comes to money, support, translation issues etc.[/quote]

UK has Rockstar, Lionhead, Rare, Free Radical (now Crytek UK) and many others. I feel however the government does not provide enough support or encouragement though.

Sadly I can't say Australia (although we are starting to have that industry grow a bit more now) but I have to say:
For sheer availability of work in the sector = USA
For best pay in the sector = USA
Best benefits = Canada
and the Overall Best Game Developers = A toss up between Japan and the USA

I personally don't like any games from japan so I'll say the USA has better developers.

Actually Japan does it more, can't remember the last American game that has that ending. JRPGs on the other hand.

It's a joke and trust me I wish I never heard about certain aspects of Japanese culture... *shudders*

I totally agree, UK developers are totally undersupported and its a shame when most of these developers are extremely creative and deliver titles which easily rival, and often better, alot of American and Japanese releases.
