The longest journey.

Unless my memory fails me, no violence anywhere in that game.

Guitar Hero doesn't count, as you have to be pretty violent with the controller on higher difficulties.
What about the people with the guns who shoot the people...Even though its not YOU.

OT: Ace Attorney series...No wait...there's murder...

Pokemon Snap! Yeah. That's it.

um depends what you mean by no violence id have to vote portal, somethings will try to kill you like the sentries but even they are kinda unviolent in their manor "are you still there?" and yeah its pretty epic game really.

Portal, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon
in portal you're a human experiment that's constantly subjected to black humor, it's evident others died horribly before you and you're subjected to experiments where you might get shot, decomposed alive and seriously burned up and you have to kill the companion cube **tears**

dunno about animal crossing and harvest moon but i'm pretty sure that during the course of the game you'll have to end the lives of vegetables and such ... lol
Well, I suppose that it all depends on if violent games must constitute the presence of violence or if the evidence of violence is enough. Portal in itself is not a violent video game per se, it simply contains evidence that violence has happened. In that sense, it's innocent. As for Harvest Moon: there is no murder of plants involved unless you feel the urge but not the necessity of cutting down trees (the game actually encourages you to plant flowers and such). As for Harvest Moon...well...um...DIE HATED VEGGIES! DIE DIE DIE!!!

Perhaps. But you're saying about a game in which the sole purpose is killing as being a game without violence. :p
I ohnly skimmed se sread and somehow translated "violence-free" to "kid suitable". I mean, flow may be about killing, but it's an abstract and elegant killing accompanied by a nice sound, not exactly a gorefest.
Oh, agreed, it's a beautiful gameplay experience. I just suppose it depends on what you're looking for in terms of non-violent. I was taking it at its literal.

The Puyo Puyo series is a fantastic non-violent experience if you're into puzzle games. (The original was ported to America on Sega Genesis as "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine")

A personal favorite is Scrabble. That's the real board game or a video game equivalent iteration. I actually purchased it on XBL, something I find great to pass the time and make me think. Much more convenient for figuring out correct/valid words (since it tells you on the spot) than having to scan through a dictionary.

I'd like to agree with everyone else who says Portal, but really? GLaDOS is one violent freak of a computer, so she negates that.

My vote goes to darts, simply for lack of a better game.

Umm... I would say Myst 4: Revelation, but while the PLAYER doesn't actually commit any violence, you do occasionally see predator-prey relationships with one of the Age's wildlife, someone does throw a bomb at you at one point, someone sabotages a bathysphere, there's a kidnapping (you don't actually see ALL of it, but the violence is implied), and you actually see two guys trying to strangle each other (sort of, I guess). And that, literally is all of the violence in the game. All of it is in cutscenes. Its a puzzle-game, sure, and its a pretty damn good one, but that really is all of the violence in the game. No really. Just play it if you don't believe me.

Tetris comes right to mind. Unless the disappearing blocks count as violence, then probably... uhh... Sudoku?

Going waaaaay back here with Tempest. Also the Jaguar version, Tempest 2000 mainly because of the awesome soundtrack it had.
