What game have you played that no one ever seemed to pay attention to, but that you thought were awesome? Games that were made by a mysterious 3rd party developer that deserved an award or eight? What is your unappreciated gem?

A demented point and click adventure game that borders on the surreal, and the abstract. Where Teachers say "Discipline" but mean molestation and assault with Baseball bats.

Not Braid (won too many awards on Gamespot), not Psychonauts (gained way too many followers in the years after release), So I'll agree and say Scrapland. Really repetitive in parts, but still lots of fun.

Or maybe "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream". Missing hearts (literally), escaping eternal rape, Nazi experiment camps... and "The Blob Ending".
