Here, we share the names of all the games that we respect heavily, but hate to play.
I'll first share mine:
ICO
The game was amazing, I did love the aspect of the game and the levels, but I hated playing it. It was so indirect as to what was needed to complete the puzzles.

It's either Stalker or Mass Effect. I don't doubt that people love them and I can see why, but they just didn't click with me. Maybe I'll try them again over the Summer.

BioShock. I like the story and setting and love the art direction, it's too bad it's just one of the most clunky and dull FPS's I've ever played.

I bought the game for five bucks on STEAM, and had pretty much the same reaction. Colorful, pretty and atmospheric? Yes, yes and yes! Otherwise, the game just didn't jive with me. I didn't bother with the sequel.

I don't get your logic behind this, if anything you sound like you want to be a fanboy?

Well my friends liked the Witcher. And I 'liked' the Withcer. Until I played it.

Fallout 3.

It was so complex and vast and deep, but it just felt so uninvolving and tasteless. I need substance in my game, I just couldn't get into it...

its an alright game, the first I find has many of its downfalls ignored much like the second just less severe

Portal - I know right!? But let me finish - see after playing it for about three hours straight I developed this thing the next day, and so did a couple of my friends. We called it 'Portal Syndrome' Basically when you're out on the street in the real world you constantly look for spots to shoot blue and orange portals to get up to higher platforms and stuff. After just a few hours of playing the effect lasted about a week.

Metal Gear Solid. I freaking loved that game. It was my favorite PSX game, which I must have spent hundreds of hours and several playthroughs on. It was the first game I really paid attention to in terms of plot, to the point that I would be able to quote certain bits (like Sniper Wolf's life story)

Metal Gear Solid 2 was a great game too but I blame Solid for making me want to try Guns of the Patriot. I really hated MGS4...It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't keep tripping over cut scenes. Everything I loved about the original was drowned in cutscenes and narrative. I would have liked it if it was a movie, I'm sure because certain scenes were really cool (like Raiden bread-dancing on Vamp's chest) but it just got so ridiculously padded.

Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword

The successor to one of my favourite games, vast with so many things to do...
And so incredibly boring. I really couldn't get into it, sorry.

Fallout 3, starts off fun, trying to make money to buy things, then it gets boring, and you've killed every town in that game and it's still boring.

Oh good God this. Thing is, I kept scolding myself, cause I was imagining portals on cobbled walls etc. then internally going "NO JAMES THAT WON'T WORK." It was very frustrating.

Not as bad as Tetris Syndrome at the supermarket though. I don't half get some funny looks when I'm loading the shopping into bags.

Persona 3: FES, I loved the storyline and the 'dating sim' interactivity with the characters, but I found the labyrinth and fighting so monotonous I've had to stop playing (and resumed and stopped about 3 times).

Grinding as well is a *****.
